Spinner Blade Ion -
Installation Checklist
Use the checklist below to ensure proper installation of Star Trac Spinning
®
Blade Ion bikes:
All parts and hardware in the package are accounted for.
Ensure front and back leg braces are secured to frame and blue loctite is used on all fasteners.
Check the seat to make sure it is leveled, tight and does not rotate or tilt. Tighten and adjust as
needed.
Verify pedals are tightly secured to crank arms.
Bottom bracket is properly tightened.
Bottle cage tightly secured.
Verify flywheel alignment and belt/chain tension. Lubricate and adjust chain as needed to ensure a
smooth ride. If belt is present, adjust if necessary and DO NOT lubricate
Ensure that adjustment knobs (seat height, seat fore & aft, and handlebar) are properly secured and do
not interfere with range of motion.
Test the handlebar and seat post to make sure they move freely and are able to lock at different
positions and are free from any oily substances. (if there is grease apparent in the threads of the
handlebar pop pin, clean with isopropyl alcohol before tightening).
Adjust the leveling feet to ensure the unit is stable and leveled.
Ensure watts are reading accurately. (“0” resistance “100” Rpm, Watts @ 20) as resistance is added
the watts readings should be within the same range from one bike to another.
Ensure there is no binding in the system (brake spring, sensor wire, load cell assembly, load cell
covers). Document # 637-1542A.
Check for noises near the flywheel, if there are noises contact Star Trac service department
immediately.
Check to see if the crank arm is scraping against the shroud during use. If noise is heard, contact Star
Trac Service department immediately.
Ensure the internal wiring has the proper strain relief at all points.
Ensure the wiring inside the frame is free from pinch points.
Verify lubrication has been applied to the load cell assembly (if not, apply lubrication)
Overall visual & cosmetic inspection: All equipment is to be wiped down and checked for defects prior to
leaving the facility. Installer is to contact an authorized Core Health & Fitness representative while on site, if
there are any issues that have not been resolved.
