A stroller for disabled children
Issue 04.2015
We are pleased to present to you a stroller for
disabled children called Optimus. The stroller
is designed for children with cerebral palsy
(CP), myelomeningocele, dysfunctions of the
lower limbs and muscular diseases. Due to
the wide functionality of the stroller it can be
easily adapted to the requirements of any
user.
Before using our product, we recommend you
read this manual, which will certainly make
its daily use easier and will keep the stroller
in impeccable condition for a long time.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any injuries of the user or for any product
damage caused by misuse of the stroller or failure to comply with the recommendations
contained in the user’s manual.
The stroller is designed to transport only one child.
The stroller should ride only on a flat, firm ground.
Before each use, check if the stroller is in order.
The stroller can be used only when it is not damaged and all parts are intact.
Never leave your child unattended in the stroller even if the seat belt is fastened and
the stroller brakes are locked.
The brakes must be always locked even if the stroller is on a flat surface.
Do not allow the child to stand on the footrest. It causes the danger of tipping over
and may lead to the child’s injury.
A child seated in the stroller should always wear a properly adjusted seat belt.
While adjusting any parameters of the stroller, the child should not be in the stroller.
While the child is getting into or out of the stroller, the stroller brakes must be
absolutely locked.
The stroller is not suitable for climbing up or down the stairs. If you need to carry it
up or down the stairs it should be done by two people.
Be especially careful when you ride uphill or downhill.
Lift the front wheels while riding over thresholds or curbs.
The stroller should be lifted only by holding the immoveable elements of the frame.
The stroller must be pushed only by holding the elements designed for this purpose
(handles).
Do not hang additional weights (e.g. bags) on the handles or other parts of the
stroller as it may cause a change in the center of gravity, hence tipping the
wheelchair.
Do not load the stroller with more than a sixty-kilogram user and the load of 1 kg
the weight of a bag under the seat.
Do not leave the wheelchair near the sources of fire or exposed to the sunlight for too
long as it can cause an increase in temperature of the upholstery and thus can lead to
the burns of the child.
During transportation (e.g. in a boot), the stroller must not be covered with heavy
goods because they may deform the structure of the stroller.
After each adjustment process all screws must be carefully checked so they are
tightened and all the parts are well fitted.
