Art. No.: 150 2220 - 39 - Rev.: 7
Technical changes and errors excepted. Latest update:
02/2015
The connection of the welding power source (UVV VBG 15 § 43 Para 1) shall be
designed so that no stray welding current (fault current) flows through the protective
earth conductor of the SmartMaster. It is important to ensure that the welding current
return wire between the workpiece and welding machine has low resistance
and connections between the workpiece and SmartMaster are avoided.
2.5 Safety Instructions for Maintenance and
Fault Clearance on the SmartMaster
"Appropriate personal protective equipment should be worn for all work concerning
maintenance and fault clearance.
Before starting the actual maintenance work, the unit should be cleaned. For this, an
industrial vacuum cleaner for dust class "H" may be used."
Setting up, maintenance and repair work and troubleshooting must be performed
only when the device is switched off.
Always tighten bolt connections that have been loosened during repair work! If
specified, tighten the relevant bolts with a torque wrench.
In particular, clean dirt and cleaning products off connections and threaded couplings
before beginning maintenance / repair / care work.
