FREESTANDINGSTOVES
GENERALINFORMATION
Wheninstallingthedevice,observetherequirementsoftheapplicablestandardsandregulationsofthenationaland
local(ifapplicable)law;andinparticularStandardEN13240:2008.
Thestovecanbeconnectedonlytotheindividualchimney.
Intheroomwherethestoveisinstalled,thegravitationalintake‐exhaustmustbeprovided.Thisinstallationcannot
giverisetonegativepressureintheroom.
Airinletgrillesshouldbeconstructedso,asnottoshutthemselfoffandsothatitcannotgetblockedoff.Thesevents
shouldbelocatedso,asnottocausedrafts.Preservingthepurity of the air vents and the bandwidth is the
responsibilityoftheuser.
Incaseofcombustionofsootinthechimneyoneshould:
callthefiredepartment;
burnthestovedownbyscrappingof embersandfuel,and thentightlyclosethestove(door,inletsofthe
primaryandsecondaryairanddamper,ifequipped).
Freestandingstovesareheatingdevicesbyperiodicburning.
Stovesshouldbeinstalledonthegroundwithsufficientbearingcapacity.Incaseofinsufficientbearingcapacityone
should take appropriate measures, for example use plates to distribute the load in order to obtain the sufficient
capacity.
SPECIFICATIONS
ACKERMANtiledstovesaredesignedtoheathouses,smallcommercialandservicepavilions,withsolidfuel.Awide
rangeofmodelsallowsflexiblearrangementofanyinteriortocreateanatmosphereofcomfort,aestheticsandheat.
NominalheatoutputcalculationisbasedonthebasisofthePN‐EN13240:2008.Reachingthedesiredpowerdepends
ontheuseoftheproperfuel(withadequatecaloriesandhumidity),thefiringupandaddingoffuel,adjustmentofthe
flowofair,thechimney,aswellastheorganizationofanefficientheattransfer.Forthecalculationoffuelneeded,
one should consider that heating of one cubic meter requires from 25 to 180 watts, depending on the location,
isolation,outdoortemperatureandwind.Itisknownthatintermsofpriceandcalorificvaluecorrelation,themost
economicsolutionisheatingwiththeuseofsolidfuels.

INSTALLATION
Thefurnacecanbeliftedonlyformetalparts.Donotpressthetiles.Damagescausedbyimproperhandlingand
installationarenotcoveredunderwarranty.
Furnaceisequippedwithastableandfireproofbaseorlegs.Toprotectthefloor,youputitonastable,heat‐resistant
platethatshouldextendatleast50cmfromthefrontand30cmatthesidesofthestove.Atadistanceof150cm
fromthestove,oneshouldnotstoreanycombustiblematerialsandthosethatcanbedestroyedbyhotair.Thestove
must beinstalled by a suitablyqualifiedperson andin accordance with the law. Connectingelements (rosette and
smoke pipes) should be joined together in a stable and durable way, so that nothing can get inside the furnace.
Diameterofconnectingpipesshouldbethesameasthediameteroftheflueofthefurnace.Stoveshouldbeoperated
withaseparatechimney.Ensureaccessofairtothefurnaceinanamountofatleast10m3/hperkWofpower.If
necessary, you can make intake of air fromthe nextroom or outside.The device can not operate in conditions of
inadequateamountofairasaresultofgravitationalforcesorforced.Thismaycauseweakcombustionorevensmoke
cangetintotheroom.
INSTRUCTIONSFORUSE
Fuel
Useonlyhardwoodorbriquetteswithout.Itisnecessarythatthewoodusedwasdry.Drywoodiswhenitshumidityis
lessthan20%.This condition is achievedwhenthewoodisstoredinadry,airyplaceforatleasttwoyears.Wood
shouldbechoppedupthewaythatitsthicknessisbetween5and15cm.
Whynottousewetwood:
1. Wood moisture lowers the temperature during combustion. Much of the heat energy is consumed in the
processofwaterevaporation,andtherestofenergymaynotbeenoughtoreachenoughlevelofheat.
2. Evaporation of water reduces the burning temperature and contributes to the excessive soot formation,
whichformstheblackcoatingontheburningchamber,ontheglassandinthechimneyconnection.
3. Burningofwetwooddoesnotallowtoreachtheadequateburningtemperature,andthusgasescontaina
biggeramountofharmfulsubstances.
Firingup
The purpose offiring up is to warmthe burning chamberand chimney connectionsto a temperaturethat ensures
adequatedraft,whichwillensurecompleteandstableburning.
1. Cleantheashfromthestovebeforefiringup.
2. Opentheairintakevalvesandexhaustoutlet(ifequipped).
3. Puttwopiecesofwoodintotheburningchamber,paralleltoeachother,onthetwosidesoffurnace.
4. Tear old newspapers and spread them along the front of the burning chamber. Do not use glossy or
impregnatedpaper.
5. Placesmallpiecesofdrywoodonpaper.Makesurethatthewoodwon’tfallduringfiringup.Thenaddlarger
woodpiecesandplacethemonthestack.
6. Ignitethepaper.Whenthenewspaperisburning,closethestovedoor.
7. Leavetheairsupplyvalvefullyopeneduntilthefirespreadstheentirecombustionchamber.

Firingupistoinflamethewoodforthefirsttime.
Howtoburnhardwood:
1. Onthelayerofembersplacetherightamountofwood.
2. Air inlet valve on ash container and flue gas damper (if equipped) should be fully opened for the first 5
minutesofloading.Atthattimethefireshouldspreadtotheentireburningchamber.
3. Whenthefirespreadedtotheentireburningchamber(around5minutesafterloading)completelyclosethe
air intake and flue gas damper (if equipped), and maintain this stateto burn the whole charge (about60
minutes).
4. 60minutesafterloadingandpriortomovementofembersonecanagainloadproperamountofwood‐the
furtherstepsseesections2and3
Howtoburnbriquettes:
1. Applytherightamountoffuelselectedonthelayerofembers.
2. Duringthefirstfiveminutesofloading,airinletvalveandflue gas damper (if equipped) should be fully
opened.Atthattimethefireshouldspreadtotheentireburningchamber.
3. Afterabout5minutesfromloading,whenthefirespreadedtotheentireburningchamber,oneshouldclose
theairinletonashcontainerby50%andclosethefluegasdamper(ifequipped).Maintainthisstatetoburn
outthecharge(about60minutes).
4. Afterabout30minutesfromloading,openfluegasdamper(ifequipped),moveloadonthegridinorderto
improveburningefficiencyandclosefluegasdamper(ifequipped).
5. After60minutesfromloadingandpriortomovementofembers,stovecanbeloadedagainwiththeproper
amountoffuel‐furtherstepsseesections2,3and4
Inordertopreventvolatilizationofexhaustgas,burningchambershouldbeclosed,exceptduringloadingoffuel,
firingupandscrappingofash.Itisforbiddentostoreflammablematerialsintheshelfundertheburningchamber.
Thefluegasdamper(ifequipped)reachesahightemperatureanditshouldbehandledwithprotectiveglove.
Thesignsofproperburning:
Burningmustbeconductedinthepresenceofflamesuntilthewoodturnsintoheat.Theaimistoprevent
smolderingand smoke comingout. Smoke shouldnot appear whileburning ofwood and isa symptomof
improperburning.
Ifinsidethefurnacearerefractorybricks,theyshouldkeeptheirnaturalyellow‐browncolour.
Ifoneusesdrywoodandkeepssufficientairflow,duringeach adds the wood should immediately start

Chimney
The chimney releases the gases produced in the burning process into the atmosphere.Draft in the chimneyis the
resultofcombinationoftheheightandthetemperaturedifferencebetweenthegasesinsideandoutside.Columnof
hotgasesinthechimneyislighterthanacomparablepolecoldairintheatmosphere,sothepressureatthebottom
ofthestackislessthanatmosphericpressure.Thisrelatively smallpressure differencecausesthe draft. Poordraft
causesproblemswithfiringup
andsmokegetsbackintothefurnace.Thiscanbeeliminatedduringfiringup,byusing
large quantities ofpaper anddry,quicklyburningsmallpieces of wood. Afterheating of burning chamber andthe
wallsofthechimney,thedraftisimproving.Foreconomicreasonsandformoreefficientheating,thechimneydraft
shouldbereducedtoabout5‐10Pa,afterfiringup.Keepinmindthatthesmokeshouldnotgobacktothefurnace.In
case of insufficientchimney draft,the firingup ofthe deviceshould be abandoned. In case of a problem with the
chimneydraftitisprohibitedtoclosetheairregulator.Airregulatoranddamper(ifequipped)mustbesetsothatthe
fuelwasburninginvisibleway.
Thechimneyandthestovemustberegularlyinspectedbyaqualifiedprofessional.
Themaincausesofinsufficientchimneydraft:
Thesootonthewallsofthechimney,reducingitsdiameterandslowingdownthereleaseofsmoke;
Crackedchimneywallsorlooserosette;
Connecting pipes connected too loose or pushed too far into the chimney, reducing the diameter of the
exhaustoutletorblockingit;

Useofthechimneythatistoosmallindiameter;
Problemswiththedraftcanoccurifthetemperatureoutsidehasrecentlysignificantlyincreased.Thenfumes
cannotescapefromacoldchimney.Inthiscase,itisnecessarytofireupaparticularlylargeamountofpaper
andsmallpiecesofwood;
Whentheroofisdraughty,orthereareopenwindowsontheupperfloor,theremaybe"astaircaseeffect",
resultinginreverseoverthechimney;
Whenthechimneyisintheareaofhypertensioncausedbythewind.
Thefurnacedoesnot emitsmokeintotheroom,ifthereisacorrectconnection,servicingand maintenance.Ifthis
situationoccurs,ventilateimmediately,thenfindandremovethecauseofthesmoke.
Donotburntrash!
Trashburningleadstounpredictableconsequences,ascontrary todrywood,trashcontaindifferentchemicalsthat
react with each other during combustion. Each waste incinerationdoesnotcausetheirdestruction,and
transformationintheirchemicalcompositionproduceslargeamountoftoxicchemicals.Oneoftheproductsofpaper
andplasticcombustionistheformationofdioxin‐ahighlypoisonouschemicalthatdoesnotbreakdownandgets
into the tissues of animals and humans. All manufactured stoves are designed for the use of dry wood without
additives,adhesivesandpaints,aswellascoalwithlowsulphurcontent.Itisallowedtousetheusualnewspapers,
butonlytostartafire.
Donotburn:garbage,varnishedorpaintedwood,plywoodorthesurfaceofthewood,chipboardorcoal!
Cleaning,Careandmaintenance
Afterthepurchase,thefurnacemustbehandledwithcareandbeprotectedfrommechanicaldamages.Whenfiring
upforthefirstfewtimesthedeviceshouldoperateonslowruntoallowproperpartdilation.Thisprocessisintended
toeliminatethehighstresswhichcouldcausedeformationandthermalcracking.Thefurnaceispaintedwithaheat‐
resistantmaterialwhichsintersduringthefirsttwofiringupsandbecomesmechanicallystable.Whenthissubstance
sinters,theroommustbeadequatelyventilated.Whileopeningthefurnacedoorstoaddfuel,becautiousanddon’t
let the burning elements to come out fromthe burningchamber. The power of the furnace can be controlled by
adjustmentoftheairsupplyvalveandtheflueoutlet(ifequipped)Donottouchthestovewithbarehandswhileitis
hot.Ashpanshouldbecleanedregularly.Donotdisposeoftheashtoplasticpackaging.Regularlycleanthesmoke
ductsandtubesinthefurnaceconnection.Thesurfaceof thestovecanbecleaneddrygentlyandwithsoft brush.
Ceramicsurfacescanbecleanedwithadampclothwithsmallamountofdetergent.Itisforbiddentowetcleanthe
steelelementsofstove,becausethepaintisnotresistanttorust.Itisnotasignificantproblem,ifduetooverheating
of paint, its colour changes to grey, rust stains appear or part of the surface gets damaged. Losses can be
supplementedwithspraypaint.Theglassshouldbecleanedwithadampclothand,ifnecessary,bymeansofspecial
measures. Glass should be cleanedwhen it iscold. While using a charcoal, particularattentionshould be givento
regularandthoroughcleaningofallpartsofthestove.Topreventcondensationandpossiblecorrosionduringlong
periodsofnon‐use(f.eg.insummer),thestoveshouldbecleanedfromtheashesandtherestoffuel.Leavethedoor
ajar,andthevalvesopen‐forbetteraircirculationaroundandthroughthefurnace.
Donotmakeanyunauthorizedmodificationstothedesignandappearanceofthestove!Duringrepairs,useonly
originalmanufacturer`sspareparts!
Under sanction of losing guarantees it is not permitted to make any changes to the construction of the device.
Unlesstheeventisthefaultofthemanufacturer,themanufacturerdoesnotacceptanyliabilityforeventsoccurring
asaresultofunauthorizedchangesinthedesignoftheequipment,inparticularchangesthatarenon‐compliant
withtechnicalstandards.
Theeventslistedbelowarenotsubjecttoclaimsagainstthemanufacturerandarenotcoveredbythewarranty:
theformationofcondensation;
changeinthecolourofthepaintthatcoversthestove;
breakageofglassorrefractorybricks;
cracktiles;
backexhaust;
sealsareconsideredascomponentssubjecttowearandtear;
meltingordeformationofthegridduetooverheatingofthedevice;
non‐compliancewiththerequirementsregardinginstallationandoperation,specifiedinthismanual;

defectsthatappearedduetotransport.
WARRANTY
Guaranteeofthesmoothoperationofthefurnace,confirmedbythecompany’sorretailerstampandsignedbythe
seller,shallbegrantedforaperiod of 12months from thedateof purchase. In the eventofdamageordefects in
materialthatapperedduringthewarrantyperiod,themanufacturerprovidesfreerepair.Duetothemanufacturing
processthetileshavecharacteristicsofcurrentproductionbatch.Thereforetherecanbeslightcolordifferencesin
hue between each productionbatches. Described feature is notadefectoftheproductanddonotgivebasistoa
claim.Anydamagecausedbyimproperstorage,improperoperation and poor maintenance,inconsistent with the
conditions specified in the instruction manual, and as a result of other causes that are not the fault of the
manufacturer,willvoidthewarranty.Warrantyandrightofwithdrawaldoesnotapplywhentheproductisaffected
bymechanicaldamages of externalorigin.Warrantydoesnot cover productsused(from demonstrationarea). The
manufacturerreservestherighttomakeimprovementsorchangestothedevicesandoperatinginstructionsatany
timewithoutpriornotice.
During the warranty period, any repairs performed by persons not authorized by the manufacturer will void the
purchaserclaimsunderwarranty.Buyercanclaimtheguaranteeonlyifthemanufacturerordealerdoesnotperform
its obligations under the guarantee. The manufacturer should accept the exchange of the furnace, based on the
judgementofauthorizedexpertindicatingthatitisimpossibletoperformtheauthorizedrepair.Thewarrantycardis
theonlybasisforabuyertoafreewarrantyrepairs.Warrantyisvoidwithoutdates,stamps,signaturesofauthorized
persons,aswellaswithanymodificationsmadebynonauthorisedpersons.Ifyoulosethewarrantycardduplicates
willnotbeissued.Inthecaseofunjustifiedcomplaintsbuyercoversthecostoftransport,repair,packing,dismantling
andmaintenance.


Duringrepairs,useonlyoriginalsparepartsfromthemanufacturer!
Customers reporting a claim within the warranty shall sign a declaration that they did not use forbidden and
prohibited fuel to burn. The device will be given to the experts for the investigation of presence of prohibited
substances, in case it is suspected that forbidden and prohibited fuels were used. If the use of prohibited fuels is
determinedcustomerlosesanyrighttoguaranteeandisobligedtocoverthecostsoftheserviceandtheexpertise.
Themanufacturerconsidersallclaims,exceptinthefollowingcases:
̶ Theformationofcondensation;
̶ Wearofsealingelements;
̶ Mechanicaldamage,eg.impact,scratches;
̶ Ruptureofglassorrefractorybricks;
̶ Damageoftiles;
̶ Backexhaust;
̶ Whenthegrateismelted,thereareexcessivedeformations,orthepaintcolourhaschangeddueto
overheating;
̶ Requirementsfortheinstallationandoperationspecifiedinthismanualhaven’tbeenfulfilled;
̶ Defectswerecausedduetotransport;
̶ DefectsresultingfromthefaultorignoranceoftheBuyerarenotcoveredbywarranty.Clientshouldconduct
aninspectionofequipmentpurchasedinthepresenceofthedealerorcarrier.
