Howtoburnhardwood:
1. Onthelayerofembersplacetherightamountofwood.
2. Air inlet valve on ash container and flue gas damper (if equipped) should be fully opened for the first 5
minutesofloading.Atthattimethefireshouldspreadtotheentireburningchamber.
3. Whenthefirespreadedtotheentireburningchamber(around5minutesafterloading)completelyclosethe
air intake and flue gas damper (if equipped), and maintain this stateto burn the whole charge (about60
minutes).

furtherstepsseesections2and3
Howtoburnbriquettes:
1. Applytherightamountoffuelselectedonthelayerofembers.
2. Duringthefirstfiveminutesofloading,airinletvalveandflue gas damper (if equipped) should be fully
opened.Atthattimethefireshouldspreadtotheentireburningchamber.
3. Afterabout5minutesfromloading,whenthefirespreadedtotheentireburningchamber,oneshouldclose

4. Afterabout30minutesfromloading,openfluegasdamper(ifequipped),moveloadonthegridinorderto
improveburningefficiencyandclosefluegasdamper(ifequipped).
5. After60minutesfromloadingandpriortomovementofembers,stovecanbeloadedagainwiththeproper
amountoffuel‐furtherstepsseesections2,3and4
Inordertopreventvolatilizationofexhaustgas,burningchambershouldbeclosed,exceptduringloadingoffuel,
firingupandscrappingofash.Itisforbiddentostoreflammablematerialsintheshelfundertheburningchamber.
Thefluegasdamper(ifequipped)reachesahightemperatureanditshouldbehandledwithprotectiveglove.
Thesignsofproperburning:
• Burningmustbeconductedinthepresenceofflamesuntilthewoodturnsintoheat.Theaimistoprevent
smolderingand smoke comingout. Smoke shouldnot appear whileburning ofwood and isa symptomof
improperburning.
• Ifinsidethefurnacearerefractorybricks,theyshouldkeeptheirnaturalyellow‐browncolour.
• Ifoneusesdrywoodandkeepssufficientairflow,duringeach adds the wood should immediately start

Chimney
The chimney releases the gases produced in the burning process into the atmosphere.Draft in the chimneyis the
resultofcombinationoftheheightandthetemperaturedifferencebetweenthegasesinsideandoutside.Columnof
hotgasesinthechimneyislighterthanacomparablepolecoldairintheatmosphere,sothepressureatthebottom
ofthestackislessthanatmosphericpressure.Thisrelatively smallpressure differencecausesthe draft. Poordraft
causesproblemswithfiringup
andsmokegetsbackintothefurnace.Thiscanbeeliminatedduringfiringup,byusing
large quantities ofpaper anddry,quicklyburningsmallpieces of wood. Afterheating of burning chamber andthe
wallsofthechimney,thedraftisimproving.Foreconomicreasonsandformoreefficientheating,thechimneydraft
shouldbereducedtoabout5‐10Pa,afterfiringup.Keepinmindthatthesmokeshouldnotgobacktothefurnace.In
case of insufficientchimney draft,the firingup ofthe deviceshould be abandoned. In case of a problem with the
chimneydraftitisprohibitedtoclosetheairregulator.Airregulatoranddamper(ifequipped)mustbesetsothatthe
fuelwasburninginvisibleway.
Thechimneyandthestovemustberegularlyinspectedbyaqualifiedprofessional.
Themaincausesofinsufficientchimneydraft:
• Thesootonthewallsofthechimney,reducingitsdiameterandslowingdownthereleaseofsmoke;
• Crackedchimneywallsorlooserosette;
• Connecting pipes connected too loose or pushed too far into the chimney, reducing the diameter of the
exhaustoutletorblockingit;

• Useofthechimneythatistoosmallindiameter;
• Problemswiththedraftcanoccurifthetemperatureoutsidehasrecentlysignificantlyincreased.Thenfumes
cannotescapefromacoldchimney.Inthiscase,itisnecessarytofireupaparticularlylargeamountofpaper
andsmallpiecesofwood;
• Whentheroofisdraughty,orthereareopenwindowsontheupperfloor,theremaybe"astaircaseeffect",
resultinginreverseoverthechimney;
• Whenthechimneyisintheareaofhypertensioncausedbythewind.
Thefurnacedoesnot emitsmokeintotheroom,ifthereisacorrectconnection,servicingand maintenance.Ifthis
situationoccurs,ventilateimmediately,thenfindandremovethecauseofthesmoke.
Donotburntrash!
Trashburningleadstounpredictableconsequences,ascontrary todrywood,trashcontaindifferentchemicalsthat
react with each other during combustion. Each waste incinerationdoesnotcausetheirdestruction,and
transformationintheirchemicalcompositionproduceslargeamountoftoxicchemicals.Oneoftheproductsofpaper
andplasticcombustionistheformationofdioxin‐ahighlypoisonouschemicalthatdoesnotbreakdownandgets

Cleaning,Careandmaintenance
Afterthepurchase,thefurnacemustbehandledwithcareandbeprotectedfrommechanicaldamages.Whenfiring
upforthefirstfewtimesthedeviceshouldoperateonslowruntoallowproperpartdilation.Thisprocessisintended
toeliminatethehighstresswhichcouldcausedeformationandthermalcracking.Thefurnaceispaintedwithaheat‐
resistantmaterialwhichsintersduringthefirsttwofiringupsandbecomesmechanicallystable.Whenthissubstance
sinters,theroommustbeadequatelyventilated.Whileopeningthefurnacedoorstoaddfuel,becautiousanddon’t

adjustmentoftheairsupplyvalveandtheflueoutlet(ifequipped)Donottouchthestovewithbarehandswhileitis
hot.Ashpanshouldbecleanedregularly.Donotdisposeoftheashtoplasticpackaging.Regularlycleanthesmoke
ductsandtubesinthefurnaceconnection.Thesurfaceof thestovecanbecleaneddrygentlyandwithsoft brush.
Ceramicsurfacescanbecleanedwithadampclothwithsmallamountofdetergent.Itisforbiddentowetcleanthe
steelelementsofstove,becausethepaintisnotresistanttorust.Itisnotasignificantproblem,ifduetooverheating
of paint, its colour changes to grey, rust stains appear or part of the surface gets damaged. Losses can be
supplementedwithspraypaint.Theglassshouldbecleanedwithadampclothand,ifnecessary,bymeansofspecial
measures. Glass should be cleanedwhen it iscold. While using a charcoal, particularattentionshould be givento
regularandthoroughcleaningofallpartsofthestove.Topreventcondensationandpossiblecorrosionduringlong
periodsofnon‐use(f.eg.insummer),thestoveshouldbecleanedfromtheashesandtherestoffuel.Leavethedoor
ajar,andthevalvesopen‐forbetteraircirculationaroundandthroughthefurnace.
Donotmakeanyunauthorizedmodificationstothedesignandappearanceofthestove!Duringrepairs,useonly
originalmanufacturer`sspareparts!
Under sanction of losing guarantees it is not permitted to make any changes to the construction of the device.

asaresultofunauthorizedchangesinthedesignoftheequipment,inparticularchangesthatarenon‐compliant

• meltingordeformationofthegridduetooverheatingofthedevice;
• non‐compliancewiththerequirementsregardinginstallationandoperation,specifiedinthismanual;
