Q: I've bought a Laser 6-way power board from you recently (item # AO-PTO888).
The board seems to be working OK, but when i look at the lights on it the "PROTECTED" light
is NOT lighted up. Does this mean there is a fault? Is my stuff protected or not? I am not sure
what it means. The Red Grounded light is on. The Reset switch is on. The Green
PROTECTED Light is NOT ON! It was on when I first plugged it in, but now its not. What does
this mean?
A: If the “PROTECTED” light is not illuminated when the board is plugged in to the power,
there is a good change that the board has been subjected to a power surge or spike that has
rendered the protection on the board un serviceable.
While the board can be continued to be used as a general power board it will no longer be
able to protect devices that are attached.
