Installation Instructions (HD Booster Battery Kit):

1.) Determine a good mounting location for the battery on your mower. Options:

a.) Option 1 – Remove the two bolts that secure your mower’s handlebar to the frame. Install the Battery

Support Bracket and reinstall bolts using included washers.

b.) Option 2 – Purchase two 2” x 3” square U-bolts from hardware store (or us) and mount the Battery Support

Bracket to a section of your mower’s tube frame.

c.) Option 3 – Drill (4) holes and Use 1/4” bolts to secure Battery Support Bracket to Mower Deck Cover.

d.) Option 4 – Purchase with or use (12) cup magnets to secure battery to Mower Deck Cover magnetically.

2.) Install battery box with lid off. Install Lawn & Garden battery (not included). Use 7/16” wrenches to secure

auxiliary wire harness loop connectors to battery terminals. (Red first to positive battery terminal). Then install

Battery Box lid and secure battery box to Battery Support Bracket using included bungee cords.

3.) Run the other end of the auxiliary wire harness over to your mower engine wiring. Connect the (2) bullet nose

connectors from the booster battery to the matching connectors on your original wire harness. Note: These

instructions assume that you have already followed the original installation instructions for your Green Guard

Complete Installation Kit. Which would have included splicing into your engine wiring to power The Green

Guard. This will allow the engine to recharge the HD booster battery when the mower is running.

4.) Secure the wiring with the included zip ties. Be sure the wiring is kept clear of rotating and hot parts.
