The AC2 4-Bay Charging Dock (P/N 852-905-XXX) is an accessory for the CK30 and
CK31 Handheld Computers. You can use the charging dock to:
power four CK30s or CK31s at one time.
charge the battery while it is in a CK30 or CK31.
This guide explains how to install and use the charging dock.
What You Need
To use the charging dock, you need:
an AC power supply (Model 073573).
an AC power cord.
You need to purchase the appropriate power cord for your location. For more
information, contact your Intermec sales representative.

Understanding the Lights
This table explains the different colors of the Charge and Power lights.
Charging Batteries
You can charge up to four CK30s or CK31s in the charging dock. The dock fully charges
the batteries in about five hours.
To charge batteries in the charging dock
Slide the CK30 or CK31 (with an installed battery) into any of the four bays on top of
the charging dock. The Charge light for that bay turns on to indicate battery charge
status.
Place the charging dock on a flat, stable, and clean surface that is within 1.5 m (5 ft)
of an AC power outlet.
Connect the AC power
supply to the power
connector on the back
of the AC2.
Connect the power supply to an

Light Color Description
Charge Flashing Green The battery is charging.
Steady Green The battery is fully charged.
Flashing Red The battery is not charging. Try these solutions:
Make sure the battery is firmly installed in the CK30 or
CK31.
Make sure the CK30 or CK31 is firmly inserted in the AC2.
Make sure the power supply is connected properly to a
powered AC outlet.
Make sure the charging pins on the AC2 and the
contacts on the battery are clean.
Power Off AC2 is not receiving power. Make sure the power supply is
connected properly.
Steady Yellow AC2 is connected to AC power and is ready to charge.
