andalsosendsoutRFsignals.TheUSBStickModemhasbeenevaluatedagainstthe
SpecificAbsorptionRate(SAR)limitsdefinedbytheFCCfordevicesofthistype.The
highestreportedSARvaluecomplieswiththe1.6W/kgaveragedover1glimit.
ThisUSBmodemisapprovedforuseinnormalsizelaptopcomputersonly(typically
with12inchorlargerdisplayscreens).TocomplywithFCCRFexposurerequirements,
thismodemshouldnotbeusedinconfigurationsthatcannotmaintainadistanceofat
least5mm(approximately0.2inch)fromusersandbystanders.
Inconfigurationswherethe5mmcannotbemaintainedconsultyourserviceprovider
foradvice.Exampleswherethismayoccurarecertainsmalllaptopsandtablet
computersorconfigurationswheretheUSBconnectorsonthehostcomputerare
unabletoprovideorensurethenecessaryseparationbetweenthemodemandits
usersorbystanderstosatisfytheRFexposurecompliancerequirements.
Ifyouusethemodeminaccordancewiththeseguidelines,thelevelofRFexposure
willfallwithintheguidelinesandthestandardspreviouslyidentified.
