have selected a quality product. The in-

structions for use are a part of the product.

They contain important information about the safety,

use and disposal of the product. Before using the

product, please learn about all the safety information

and usage instructions. Only use the product as

described and for the speciﬁed applications. If you

lend the product to someone else, please also give

all the instructions.

Intended use

The scale is intended for measuring the weight of

people. To that end, the scale has a weighing range

of up to 396 lb (180 kg). The scale is only intended

for personal use, not for commercial purposes. Any

use of the scale other than previously mentioned or

any product modiﬁcation is prohibited and may result

in injuries and / or damage to the scale. The manu-

facturer accepts no liability for any damage caused

by improper use.

could swallow batteries and

choke. For this reason, keep

children. If a battery has been

EXPLOSION

Never recharge single-use

batteries. Do not short-circuit or

teries to overheat, catch ﬁre or

explode. Never throw batteries

may explode.

Leaked or damaged

batteries may cause burns

on contact with the skin. To avoid

this, always wear suitable pro-

tective gloves in these circum-

stances!

Avoid contact with the skin, eyes

or mucous membranes if ﬂuid

has leaked from the batteries. In

the event of contact with battery

acid, thoroughly ﬂush out the

aﬀected area with clean water

and seek immediate medical

attention.

Avoid extreme conditions and

temperatures which may aﬀect

batteries, e.g. on heaters. Other-

wise there is an increased risk of

battery leaks.

Please ensure correct polarity

when inserting the batteries!

Do not dispose of batteries in

normal domestic waste!

Every consumer is legally required

to dispose of batteries properly!

Remove the batteries from the

scale if it has not been used for

a long time.

Only use the same or an equiva-

lent battery type.

Always replace all batteries at the

same time. Do not use recharge-

able batteries!

If the device will not be used for

a long time, remove the batteries

from the battery compartment.

Immediately remove empty bat-

teries from the scale. There is an

increased risk of leaks!

Failure to observe the above

instructions may result in the bat-

teries discharging beyond their

end voltage. This poses a risk

of leaking. If the batteries have

leaked inside the scale, remove

them immediately to prevent

damage to the scale!

Initial use

Check that all parts listed in the scope of delivery

are present.

Remove all packaging material.

Inserting / replacing batteries

Note: the batteries must be inserted prior to initial

use. First, remove the insulating strip from the battery

compartment 3.

Note: if the scale does not respond, remove and

reinsert the batteries.

Open the cover of battery compartment 3.

Insert the three included batteries (with the cor-

rect polarity) in the battery compartment 3.

Please note the markings inside the battery

compartment 3.

Close the cover of battery compartment 3

until you hear it click into place.

Positioning the scale

Place the scale on a stable, level

surface. A solid ﬂoor covering is re-

quired in order to achieve correct

weight measurements.

Adjusting the unit of weight

The factory default setting for the scale is „lb”. If

you wish to switch to „kg“ or „st“, press the UNIT

button 4 on the back of the scale as many times

as required.

Use

Tip: if possible, always weigh yourself at the same

time of day (preferably in the morning) after using

the toilet, with an empty stomach and without cloth-

ing to ensure that your results are comparable.

Note: if the location or the batteries are changed,

the scale must be re-calibrated. To re-calibrate, do

the following: quickly step on the scale. Step oﬀ the

platform 1. The scale calibrates automatically. Wait

until the scale switches oﬀ automatically. The scale

is now calibrated and you can weigh yourself.

Weighing

Step onto the scale barefoot and be sure to

stand still on the platform 1 with the weight

distributed equally between both legs.

Note: if possible, stand on the same area of

the platform 1 each time and do not move.

Moving during the weighing process can lead

to discrepancies in the results.

The scale will immediately start measuring. The

weight display in the LED display 2 will blink

before showing the result.

Step oﬀ the platform 1. The measurement

value in the LED display 2 will disappear af-

ter about 10 seconds. Until then the weight

measurement remains visible.

Turning oﬀ the scale

The scale features an automatic shut-oﬀ function

and will automatically switch oﬀ after displaying

the results.

Cleaning and care

Do not clean with chemical cleaners or scouring

agents.

Never immerse the scale in water or other liquids.

This could damage the scale.

Ensure water does not enter the scale. If this

does occur, wait for the scale to dry completely

before using it again.

Clean the scale with a slightly dampened cloth.

For more stubborn dirt you may also apply a

gentle soap solution to the cloth.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging through your local recy-

cling facilities and in compliance with all federal,

state and local regulations.

Please note the package markings

regarding waste separation, indicated

by abbreviations (a) and numbers (b),

meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper

and cardboard / 80–98: composite

materials.

Contact your local waste management

authority for additional information on

how to dispose of the used product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of

the product properly when it has reached the end

of its useful life, do not throw in the garbage. Infor-

mation on collection sites and their opening hours

is available from your local authority.

Improper disposal of batteries

can damage the environment!

Never throw batteries in the garbage. They may

contain toxic heavy metals and must be handled as

special waste. The chemical symbols of heavy met-

als are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.

Used batteries should therefore be disposed of

through a local collection point.

Three year limited warranty

What does this warranty cover?

The warranty covers:

· Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.

· Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or

failure to follow the safety and maintenance

instructions provided in the user manual.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

· Normal wear and tear of the product, including

fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);

· Improper use or transport;

· Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;

· Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, ﬁre,

water, etc.);

· Tampering with the product (such as removing

cover, unscrewing screws etc.).

Consequential and incidental damages are also

not covered under this warranty. However, some

states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of in-

cidental or consequential damages, so this limitation

or exclusion may not apply to you.

What is the period of coverage and

warranty resolution?

The warranty is for 3 years from the date of pur-

chase. At our discretion, product will either be

refunded or replaced.

What will we not do?

We will not:

· Start a new warranty period upon product ex-

change;

· Repair product.

De lo contrario, la báscula puede

sufrir daños.

En caso de fallas o si la báscula

se descompone, retire las pilas.

En caso contrario, existe un ele-

vado riesgo de sulfatación de la

pila.

Nunca abra la carcasa de la

báscula. Ello podría conllevar le-

siones y daños a la báscula. Las

reparaciones deben ser realiza-

das por personal del servicio de

mantenimiento o por un técnico

electricista.

Riesgos al manipular

las pilas

El incum-

plimiento de las siguientes

advertencias puede provocar

lesiones graves o la muerte.

Las pilas pueden presentar peli-

gro de muerte por posible inges-

tión. Los niños pequeños pueden

tragarse las pilas y ahogarse.

Por tanto, mantenga las pilas

fuera del alcance de los niños

pequeños. En caso de que se

ingiera una pila, se deberá soli-

citar asistencia médica inmedia-

tamente.

Mantenga las pilas lejos del

alcance de los niños, no tire las

pilas al fuego, no las cortocircuite

y no intente desmontarlas.

El incum-

plimiento de las siguientes

advertencias puede provocar

lesiones o daños materiales.

¡PELIGRO DE

EXPLOSIÓN!

Nunca recargue pilas no recar-

gables, no las abra ni las ponga

en cortocircuito. Estas podrían

recalentarse, explotar o provocar

un incendio. Nunca arroje las

pilas al fuego o al agua. Las

pilas podrían explotar.

Las pilas sulfatadas o da-

ñadas pueden provocar

abrasiones al entrar en contacto

con la piel. ¡Por tanto, es impres-

cindible el uso de guantes de

protección en estos casos!

Evite el contacto con la piel, los

ojos y las mucosas en caso de

que el líquido de las pilas se

haya derramado. En caso de

entrar en contacto con el ácido

de las pilas, lave inmediatamente

la zona afectada con abundante

agua y consulte a un médico.

Evite condiciones y temperaturas

extremas que puedan inﬂuir

sobre las pilas, por ejemplo no

las acerque a un radiador. En

caso contrario, existe un ele-

vado riesgo de sulfatación de la

pila.

¡Tenga en cuenta la polaridad

correcta al insertar la pila!

¡Las pilas no deben desecharse

junto con la basura doméstica!

¡Todos los usuarios están obliga-

dos a desechar las pilas de

forma adecuada!

Retire las pilas de la báscula si

no piensa utilizarla durante un

periodo de tiempo prolongado.

Utilice solo pilas del mismo tipo

o del tipo equivalente.

Siempre reemplace simultánea-

mente todas las pilas. ¡No utilice

baterías recargables!

Retire las pilas del compartimiento

si el aparato va a estar largo

tiempo en desuso.

Retire inmediatamente las pilas

agotadas de la báscula. ¡Existe

un riesgo elevado de derrame!

El incumplimiento de estas indi-

caciones podría provocar la

descarga de las pilas más allá

de su tensión ﬁnal. En este caso,

existe el riesgo de que se sulfaten.

¡En caso de que se haya derra-

mado el líquido de las pilas

dentro de la báscula, sáquelas

inmediatamente para evitar daños

en la misma!

Puesta en funcionamiento

Compruebe que están todas las piezas indica-

das en el volumen de suministro.

Retire completamente el material de embalaje.

Insertar / cambiar pilas

Nota: antes de la primera puesta en funcionamiento

debe colocar las pilas. Retire la cinta de aislamiento

del compartimento de las pilas 3.

Nota: si la báscula no funciona, retire las pilas

brevemente y colóquelas de nuevo.

Abra la tapa del compartimento de las pilas 3.

Coloque las tres pilas suministradas (teniendo

en cuenta la polaridad correcta) en el compar-

timento de las pilas 3. Observe la marca del

compartimento de las pilas 3.

Cierre la tapa del compartimento de las pilas

3 hasta que escuche que encaja.

Instalar la báscula

Coloque la báscula sobre una su-

perﬁcie ﬁrme y plana. Se requiere

un revestimiento ﬁrme para una

medición correcta.

Ajustar la unidad de peso

Cuando le entregan la báscula, está ajustada en la

unidad „lb“. Si desea cambiar a „kg“ o „st“, presione

el botón UNIT 4 (varias veces de ser necesario)

en la parte trasera de la báscula.

Manejo

Consejo: para poder comparar los resultados le

recomendamos pesarse siempre que sea posible a

la misma hora (preferiblemente por las mañanas),

después de ir al baño, en ayunas y sin ropa.

Nota: después un cambio de posición y tras cada

cambio de pila tendrá que volver a calibrar la bás-

cula. Proceda como se indica a continuación: párese

brevemente sobre la báscula. Bájese de la superﬁ-

cie de apoyo 1. La báscula se calibrará automáti-

camente. Espere hasta que la báscula se apague

automáticamente. La báscula está ahora calibrada

y puede realizar una medición.

Realizar la medición

Súbase descalzo a la báscula y asegúrese de

apoyarse cuidadosamente, repartiendo bien el

peso entre las dos piernas, y de pisar la super-

ﬁcie de apoyo 1.

Nota: colóquese siempre en el mismo punto

de la superﬁcie de apoyo 1 y no se mueva.

Los movimientos durante la medición del peso

pueden causar variaciones.

La báscula comienza inmediatamente a pesar.

Después de un parpadeo breve del indicador

de peso en la pantalla LED 2, podrá ver el

resultado.

Bájese de la superﬁcie de apoyo 1. El valor

en la pantalla LED 2 desaparece después de

aprox. 10 segundos. Hasta entonces el resul-

tado de la medición se mantendrá visible.

Apagar la báscula

La báscula dispone de una función de desco-

nexión automática y se apaga automáticamente

después de mostrar el resultado de la medición.
