INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing a product from Kellfri AB. By following general safety information,
operating instructions and common sense, you will have many years of enjoyable use of the
product. Kellfris equipment and products are aimed to be use by active farmers with high
demands on functionality.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Band saw with petrol engine and rails.
Convenient band saw with rail sections that can be easily built as the required length of the log,
with hook clamps for holding the timber. Water cooled band with belt guides bear ings, service
friendly and with a protected design. Powerful engine with power transmission through the
belt. By putting the rails in absolute scale you will have a band saw with high dimen sional ac-
curacy and the ability to cut the high-grade structural timber.

PRODUCT SAFETY INFORMATION
Read the instructions carefully before using the machine.
Fuel and fumes are ammable and explosive. Store fuel in an approved container and
handle fuel with care. Do not store fuel or other ammable material nearby. Fires are
prohibited near the machine.
Fire extinguisher class ABC should always be kept available in the vicinity of the machine.
Warning! Keep in mind that the use of this equipment may create sparks that can start a
re in dry vegetation.
The machine is not designed for use indoors. Do not run the engine in a conned space,
exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide, which are deadly if inhaled.
Never leave the gear with the engine running. Turn the engine o when you leave the
machine - even for a short while.
Only you who is operating the machine may be in the vicinity of the it during work. Dan-
ger zone 5 M. around the machine. The machine is designed for solitary work only.
Do not force the saw, move forward as slowly as possible to get the best result.
Do not use machine if excessive vibration occurs, stop the machine immediately and
check what is wrong, rectify the error before the machine is re-used.
Do not change the engine settings unless it is told by the engine manufacturer.
Install the machine on a at surface.
People with pacemakers should consult their doctor before using the machine. Electro-
magnetic elds near a pacemaker may cause interference in the pacemaker, or the pace-
maker to stop functioning. Caution is necessary when working near the engine’s mag-
netic eld
Be sure to keep balance and stand rmly during operation to get better control of the
equipment in unexpected situation
The engine must not be covered during operation. Keep equipment clean and the sur-
roundings free from obstacles and other surrounding objects.

worn or label becomes frayed or otherwise unreadable, order new decals.

PERSONAL PROTECTION
Always wear suitable clothing and footwear. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry when us-
ing the machine. Remember to put up long hair when operating rotating machines. Wear pro-
tective gloves, to prevent risking burns on contact with hot surfaces such as exhaust system,
and to avoid oil and gasoline on the skin. Hearing protection should be used when the engine
is running. It is recommended to use a protective mask while driving.
SURROUNDINGS
Make sure your working area is clear from people, children and objects before installing and
using the machine. Risk of serious injuries can occur during operation. Take an extra caution
when children are in the area where the equipment/ product is being use or stored. Check
the area for low hanging electrical wires. Be careful when working on slopes and near ditches.
Always work alone with single - purpose tools/products. Never have junk lying in your area.
Keep working areas clean. Always respect the risk zone.
DO NOT allow anyone to be near the machine!

BEFORE USE
Read the safety information and instruction manual carefully. Be sure you understand the
safety measures, instruction manual and warning labels. Use common sense when operating
the machine and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Always check the performance and the machine combination that are used. Its highly impor-
tant these matches in a satisfactory manner. This is to ensure the product or the function and
most important yours and others safety. Do visual inspection of equipment or product before
use. Fix or replace damaged or worn parts immediately to reduce the risk of injury. Lubricate
moving parts and check that all screw-nuts and bolts are tightened.
Learn and remember the correct working methods. Beginners should always keep a low speed,
use extreme caution before routine and product knowledge is achieved. The user/customer is
responsible to handle the situation correctly. The product should not be taken into use unless
it can be done in a safe way for the user.

Do not use the machine if fuel or oil leaks. Fix the problem before use
Before use, check that the rails are straight and that the machine is stable.
Check the bandsaw blade tension, adjust if necessary.
Ensure that all nuts, bolts and ttings are securely fastened, (New machine check that all
the packing / shipping supplies such as tape, steel tape, rope, etc. are removed.)
Make sure it is the proper oil level in the engine and that there is petrol in the tank
Ensure that all guards are in place and they can not come loose before use.
Read the engine manual before using the machine!
Note that the engine is supplied without oil and fuel.
Fill the engine with oil and fuel before use !!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS SAWMILL
1. Remove all packaging material, place the main unit standing (see picture below) on a at
surface.
2. Fit 2 square sections (# 30) in the xing pipes on the main unit, left and right. Loosen the
locking handle before mounting proles (see pictures below)

3. Take out all parts for the carriage (for a list of all parts See Figure I-II-III) Loosen the bolts with
16 mm wrench, then mount the feet on the square prole (# 30)

4. Loosen the bolts and mount the stabilizing frame (# 60) above the square prole.

5. Assemble (# 50) cranking bar (# 65), the nut is tightened with a 19 mm wrench. Fit the han-
dle, tighten the nuts using 2x 13mm wrenches (see pictures below). Fit the bar on the stabi-
liser bar, check that the crank is free, if necessary adjust the distance between bolts (# 62) and
pole mount (# 64) (see pictures on next page)

6. Mount the pawl (# 57) as shown below and mount the tension spring.

7. Tighten mountingbolts on the carriage
8. There are 2 wires (# 48) in the package, one long and one short. The long wire is mounted
on the right side (right hook) of stabiliser and the short on the left (left hook) (position of right
and left is determined when the operator is standing in front of the machine). Fit the wire loop
on the hook, the wire is then threaded through the roller (# 22) from outside to inside. The wire
should be locked on the crank rod with clamps (see pictures below)

9. Loosen the locking handle (# 31) on each side, see pictures below. The carriage can now be
adjusted up and down. Push up the latch and turn it forward or backward to raise or lower the
carriage.
10. Adjust the carriage to make it straight. Crank up the carriage until the wires are tightened,
Use a leveler to check which side of the trolley is higher or lower. Adjust by loosening the wire
clamp and pull the wire end to be adjusted. Tighten the bolts.

11. Assemble the frame (# 101) on the square prole, loosen the xing bolts with 13mm span-
ner and t the frame. Then mount attachment for the water tank and bracket for the throttle
control (# 105), see pictures below. Bolts are tightened with 16mm and 17mm wrench.

12. Mount the measuring scale (# 41), thread through the xing holes and tighten.
13. Attach the water tank (# 98), as illustrated. Loosen the bolts (# 40) on the lower part of the
main unit with 16mm wrench as shown in the pictures below and mount the copper pipe (#
92) located in the end of the water hose on the right side. Adjust the copper position so that
water from the hose hits the bandsaw. Note Do not tighten the bolt so that the copper pipe
becomes broken or squashed.

14 a.) Assemble the rail. Set the rails on a at surface. The rails consist of two sections (standard
delivery). The sections are aligned and bolted together into a track for the carriage. Fit 5 trans-
verse log support but do not tighten the bolts yet. (see picture below)
b.) Assemble the log clamp (# 146). The log clamp is movable and can be place where appro-
priate.
c.) Install stop (# 132) at the end of the rail.


d.) Install the timber support (# 138, # 139) Use the appropriate support, long guides are suit-
able for large logs and short guides are suitable for smaller logs.
e.) Lubricate the thread and t the locking pins.

f.) Install the adjustable feet ( ). The track has  holes for mounting adjustable feet.
g.) Install the mounting plate on the outside of the track, do not tighten the bolts yet.
h.) Lift the saw carriage on the rails. Warning! saw carriage weighs a lot, were extreme caution
when assembling the saw carriage to avoid damage. This shall be carried out by at least 
people.
