These instructions should be read carefully and retained after installation by the end user for future
reference and maintenance.
These instructions should be used to aid installation of the following products:

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

INSTALLATION:
• Installation of this product should only be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person
to the current IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
• Before installation/maintenance, ensure that all mains supply is isolated
• Check the total load on the circuit, including when this product is fitted, does not exceed the rating
of the circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker

Please note the IP (Ingress of Protection) rating of this product when deciding the location for
installation
• This product is Class I and requires an Earth
• The IP rating of this product will be compromised if the drain hole is opened
• Ensure the maximum load is not exceeded when installing
• Please recycle this unit
GENERAL:
SETTING UP THE REMOTE CONTROL:
WARRANTY:
• The unit should be recycled in the correct manner when it reaches the end of its life. Check local
authorities for where facilities exist
• Clean with a soft dry cloth only, do not use aggressive cleaning products or solvents which may
damage the product
• Provide power to the required point of installation, suitable IP rated junction boxes should be used
where required
• If installing outdoors, ensure the power source is via a suitable IP rated enclosure
• The power source connections should be local and accessible
• Remove 4 fixing screws around the top cover
• Using the back box as a template, mark the location of the fixing holes
•
When drilling the holes, ensure they do not infringe with electrical cables, water or gas pipes or
ceiling joists
• Ensure suitable wall fixings are used
• Refit the screw mounting hole caps (failure to fit these caps will compromise the IP rating)
• Note the load compression glands should be facing downwards
• Remove items 1, 2 and 3 from the supply compression gland (see Fig 2), items 1 & 3 slip over the
incoming cable
• Connect the incoming power ACL – LIVE (BROWN), ACN – NEUTRAL (BLUE) and FGND - EARTH
(GREEN/YELLOW)
• Secure the cable in place via the cable clamp (see Fig 2), then connect the compression gland
ensuring a good fit around the cable
• Ensure the gasket is fitted to the inside of the lid and fix the lid to the back box using the screws
provided
• Various loads may be controlled please see fig 1 below. Connections are FGND – EARTH (GREEN/
This product has a warranty of 1 year from date of purchase. Failure to install this product in
accordance with the current edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations, improper use, or removal of
the batch codes will invalidate the warranty. If this product should fail within its warranty period it
should be returned to the place of purchase for a free of charge replacement. ML Accessories does
not accept responsibility for any installation costs associated with the replacement product. Your
statutory rights are not affected. ML Accessories reserve the right to alter product specification
without prior notice
Important Warning:
Each switch is individually fused and the rating of the fuse is marked on the terminal connector
in front of fuse. Do not exceed the maximum load shown below via each of the compression
glands (Fig 1).

• Remove battery cover from remote control
• Insert an AAA 1.5V battery to the remote control (not supplied) and replace cover
• Press the “MATCH” switch on the circuit board (see Fig 2) once, the “GREEN” power LED will start
blinking
• Press any button on the remote control handset and hold it until the “GREEN” power LED is stable
and not blinking
• Press the “ON” button on channel 1 of the remote control; the Channel 1 indicator LED will illuminate
RED (see Fig 3)
• Once Channel 1 is programmed the other channels will be set up automatically
• The remote control is now ready for use
• Switch on and check for correct operation
Note: The remote control must be set up before the load is installed.
