PURPOSE OF THE DOCUMENT

The purpose of this document is to outline the use of Magensa’s Remote Key Injection and Configuration

Service.

MagTek is an official ESO (Encryption Support Organization). For more details on MagTek and Magensa's PCI-

DSS or ESO status, visit VISA's Global Registry of Service Providers.

Go to www.visa.com/splisting/.

Press Begin Search.

Type in “Magensa” under Company Name. (To confirm PCI-DSS and ESO).

Type in “MagTek” under Company Name. (To confirm TPA and ESO).

Press GO.

Magensa PCI and ESO certifications will appear.

Step 1 - Using and Configuring Internet Explorer

 Launch Internet Explorer (Run as administrator by right-clicking the exe file)

 Left-click “Run as administrator”

 Make sure the latest version of Java is installed

 Go to www.java.com and click the “Free Java Download” button

 Follow the screen prompts to complete the installation

 Using IE, go to https://rs.magensa.net/rs/

 When you are presented with a Java pop-up, click Run

 You can optionally choose to check the box “Do not show this again……”

STEP 2 - LOG INTO REMOTE SERVICES

 Identify the Login Section

 Type in the e-mail address registered with your account

 Click Submit

SCRA – Configuration and Key Injection Options

SETTING SECURITY LEVEL

 Click on Security Level under SCRA heading

 To change your SCRA Security Level from 2 to 3 CLICK on the drop down menu arrow and select 3

 Then CLICK Change Security Level

o ***If your SCRA is already at Security Level 3, it cannot be changed back to Security Level 2

 Click Home to return to Main Menu

CHANGE KEY FOR SCRA

 To Remotely Change the Key in your SCRA, Click Key Load

 Click the Arrow to reveal Drop Down menu

 Select a Key from Drop Down menu

 Click Change Key

 After a few seconds, you will receive the message above—

 “Your device successfully changed to Load Key to xxxxxxxx”

 Click Home to return to Main Menu

CHANGE MODE FOR SCRA

 To change mode for SCRA Click Mode

 To change Mode between Keyboard and HID, Click the arrow on the Drop Down menu

 Select desired Mode

 Click Change Mode

 After a few moments, you will receive the above message—

 “Your device successfully changed Mode to Keyboard/HID”

 Click Home to return to Main Menu

MASKING FOR SCRA

 To Change the Masking for your SCRA, Click Masking

 Click the arrow in the Drop Down menu

 Select masking option

 Select Mod 10 Check Yes or No

 Click Change Masking

 After a few seconds, you will receive the message above

 “Your device successfully changed Masking to x-xxxxx-x”

 Click Home to return to Main Menu

PRE-CARD STRING FOR SCRA

 Click Pre-Card String

 Click arrow in Drop Down menu

 Select Pre-Card String Option

 Click Change Pre-Card String

 After a few seconds you will receive the above message

 “Your device successfully changed Pre-Card String to xx”

 Click Home to return to Main Menu

TERMINATION STRING FOR SCRA

 Click Termination String

 Click Drop Down Menu

 Select Termination String Option

 Click Change Termination String

 After a few seconds you will receive the message above—

 “Your device successfully changed Termination String to xxxx”

 Click Home to return to Main Menu
