maybeswitchedonbypressingthisbutton.TheredLEDindicates
thattheproductisswitchedoff,whilethegreenLEDshowsthatit
isoperating.
2. REFRIGERATOR

Usedtomodifythetemperaturesettingoftherefrigerator;confirmation
correspondingtotheselectedtemperatureappearsonthedisplay.
3. Refrigerator display
Showsthesettemperaturefortherefrigeratorcompartment.
4. I-CARE
ControlstheactivationanddeactivationoftheI-CAREfunction(optimal
operatingtemperatureforminimalenergyconsumption).Whenthis
functionisactivated,theI-CARELEDonthekeypadlightsup.Press
andholdtheI-CAREbuttonfor8secondssothatthecorresponding
LEDbeginstoflash;thiswillallowyoutosetthetemperaturetoin
theRefrigeratorcompartmentandintheFreezercompartment.Two
minutesafterthemostrecentuserinteraction,thedisplayentersits
energysavingmode.Toexittheenergysavingmode,simplypress
anybuttonoropentherefrigeratordoor.
5. ALARM
An alarm situation has been detected in the product (see
Troubleshooting section).
6. FRUIT & VEGETABLES:
This feature allows you to change the temperature of the first
compartmentofthefreezertostorefruitandvegetables.Onthedisplay
the“feature”lightwillblinkuntilitreachestheidealtemperature.When
thelightstopsblinking,youcaninsertfruitandvegetables.
The feature does not have any time limitation.
Whenthefeatureisenabled,youcannotstorefrozenfoodinthefirst
compartment.Thisiswhywerecommendtoemptythedrawerbefore
enablingthisfeature.Frozenfoodcanbemovedtotheseconddrawer
ofthefreezer.Thiscompartmentworksindependently,bykeeping
thefreezertemperaturesetonthedisplay.
DuringtheMTZoperationwithdisplaysettoFRUIT&VEGETABLES,a
hightemperatureoftheenvironmentand/oraheavyuseofthefreezer
couldtaketoanalarmcondition.Itisadvisableto
preventthisproblembychangingthefunction.
WhenthefeatureisON,pleasedonotstorefood
closetotheholesofthedrawer.Whenthefeature
isONyoucanchangethetemperaturesettingin
theseconddrawerofthefreezeronlyonadefined
range(-18°C).

7. FREEZER
and temperature adjustment
Used to modify the temperature setting of the
freezer;confirmationcorrespondingtotheselected
temperatureappearsonthedisplay.
8. FREEZER display
Shows the set temperature for the freezer
compartment.
9. FISH & MEAT:
Thisfeatureallowsyoutochangethetemperatureof
thefirstcompartmentofthefreezertostoredelicate
food such as meat and fish.
Whenyouturnonthefeature,thedisplayiconturns
onandthetemperaturereachestheidealsettingin
order to store meat and fish.The feature does not
have any time limitation.
When the feature is enabled, you cannot store
frozenfoodinthefirstcompartment.Thisiswhywe
recommendtoemptythedrawerbeforeenabling
this feature. Frozen food can be moved to the
second drawer of the freezer. This compartment
works independently, by keeping the freezer
temperaturesetonthedisplay.Whenthefeature
isONyoucanchangethetemperaturesettingin
theseconddrawerofthefreezeronlyonadefined
range(from-18°Cto-21°C).
This feature can be disabled:

10. QUICK FREEZE
This feature allows you to change the temperature of the first
compartmentofthefreezertofreezefoodinaquickerway.
Onthedisplaythe“feature”lightwillblinkuntilitreachestheideal
temperature(orafteracertainamountoftimehaselapsed).When
theiconstopsblinkingandabeepcanbeheardyoucaninsertthe
foodtobefrozen.Ifthestartingtemperatureislowerthan-18°C,the
icon is idle and there will be no acoustic signal.
You can also insert hot food in the compartment. Please wait 30
minutesafteryouheartheacousticbeep.
Thisfeatureautomaticallydeactivatesafter24hours.
Whenthe featureisenabled,youcanstorefrozenfoodinthefirst
compartment.Theseconddrawerofthefreezerworkswiththesame
temperatureofthefirstcompartment.
Inordertomaximizeperformance,pleaseusethespecialdrawer.
Onlyinthesuitabledraweryoucanalsoinserthotfood,oncondition
thatitisdulyprotected.

11.SAFE DEFROST:
This feature allows you to change the temperature of the first
compartmentofthefreezertodefrostfood.
Whenyousetthefunction,theicononthedisplayturnsonandthe
temperaturereachestheidealsettinginordertodefrostfood(about
1°C).
The feature does not have any time limitation.
Whenthefeatureisenabled,youcannotstorefrozenfoodinthefirst
compartment.Thisiswhywerecommendtoemptythedrawerbefore
enablingthisfeature.Frozenfoodcanbemovedtotheseconddrawer
ofthefreezer.Thiscompartmentworksindependently,bykeeping
thefreezertemperaturesetonthedisplay.

12. HOLIDAY
ActivatesordeactivatestheHOLIDAYfunction(the
HOLIDAYLEDonthekeypadlightsup),whilethe
temperature values +12°C and -18°C appear on
therefrigeratorandfreezerdisplaysrespectively.
Twominutesafterthemostrecentuserinteraction,
the display enters its energy saving mode (see
I-CAREfunction).
13. OFF:
Thisfeatureallowsyoutoturnoffthefirstfreezer
compartment.Whenyouactivatethisfeature,the
icononthedisplayturnson.
Whenthefeatureisenabled,youcannotstorefood
inthefirstcompartment.Thisiswhywerecommend
toemptythedrawerbeforeenablingthisfeature.
Frozenfoodcanbemovedtotheseconddrawerof
thefreezer.Thiscompartmentworksindependently,
by keeping the freezer temperature set on the
display.
Inordertoenableanddisablethisfeatureyoumust
presstogetherandfor3secondsthekeys“QUICK
FREEZE”and“SAFEDEFROST”.Anacousticsignal
will confirm activation or deactivation.

combined feature

Installation
!Beforeplacingyournewapplianceintooperationpleaseread
these operating instructions carefully. They contain important
information for safe use, for installation and for care of the
appliance.
!Pleasekeeptheseoperatinginstructionsforfuturereference.

Positioning and connection
Positioning
1. Placetheapplianceinawell-ventilatedhumidity-freeroom.
2. Do not obstruct the rear fan grills. The compressor and
condensergiveoffheatandrequiregoodventilationtooperate
correctly and save energy.
3. Leaveaspaceofatleast10cmbetweenthetoppartofthe
applianceandanyfurnitureaboveit,andatleast5cmbetween
thesidesandanyfurniture/sidewalls.
4. Ensuretheapplianceisawayfromanysourcesofheat(direct
sunlight,electricstove,etc.).
5. Inordertomaintainthecorrectdistancebetweentheappliance
andthewallbehindit,fitthespacerssuppliedintheinstallation
kit,followingtheinstructionsprovided.
Levelling
1. Installtheapplianceonalevelandrigidfloor.
2. Ifthefloorisnotperfectlyhorizontal,adjusttherefrigeratorby
tightening or loosening the front feet.
Electrical connections
After the appliance has been transported, carefully place it
vertically and wait at least 3 hours before connecting it to the
electricitymains.Beforeinsertingtheplugintotheelectricalsocket
ensure the following:
• Theapplianceisearthedandtheplugiscompliantwiththelaw.
• Thesocketcanwithstandthemaximumpoweroftheappliance,
whichisindicatedonthedataplatelocatedonthebottomleft
sideofthefridge(e.g.150W).
• Thevoltagemustbeintherangebetweenthevaluesindicated
onthedataplatelocatedon the bottomleftside(e.g.220-
240V).
• The socket is compatible with the plug of the appliance. If
thesocketis incompatible withthe plug, askan authorised
techniciantoreplaceit(see Assistance).Donotuseextension
cordsormultiplesockets.
!Oncetheappliancehasbeeninstalled,thepowersupplycable
and the electrical socket must be easily accessible.
!Thecablemustnotbebentorcompressed.
!Thecablemustbecheckedregularlyandreplacedbyauthorised
techniciansonly(seeAssistance).
! The manufacturer declines any liability should these safety
measures not be observed.
Start-up and use
Starting the appliance
! After transportation of the appliance, carefully place it in an
uprightpositionandwaitatleast3hoursbeforeconnectingitto
theelectricitymains,tomakesureitoperatesasitshould.
• Cleantheinsideoftherefrigeratorwellusingwarmwaterand
bicarbonateofsodabeforeplacingfoodinsideit.
• Theappliancecomeswithamotorprotectioncontrolsystem
whichmakesthecompressorstartapproximately8minutes
afterbeingswitchedon.Thecompressoralsostartseachtime
thepowersupplyiscutoffwhethervoluntarilyorinvoluntarily
(blackout).
Freezer Compartment
When the product is switched on the freezer compartmentis
settoitsdefaultvalueof-18°C.WerecommendthattheQUICK
FREEZEfunctionisset(thefreezerstatusbarcontinuestodisplay
thesetvalue)inordertoacceleratethecoolingprocessofthe
compartment;whentheinsideofthecompartmenthasreached
itsoptimaltemperaturethefunctionwillbedeactivatedandthe
foodmaybeplacedinside.
Navigating the display
Setting the temperatures:
If the product is switched on, the refrigerator and freezer
compartmentdisplayswillindicatethetemperaturevaluessetat
thatmoment.Tochangethem,simplypressthe- and + buttons
correspondingtothecompartmentforwhichyouwishtochange
thesettemperature.Morespecifically,eachtimethebuttonsare
pressed,thetemperatureincreasesordecreasesandthelevelof
coldgeneratedinsidethecompartmentisadjustedaccordingly.
Thetemperaturevaluesthatmaybeselectedfortherefrigerator
compartmentare+8°C,+7°C,+6°C,+5°C,+4°C,+3°Cand+2°C,
whilethevaluesthatmaybesetforthefreezerare–18°,-19°,-
20°,-21°,-22°,-23°,-24°,-25°,-26°.Whenthe“I-CARE” function
isactive,theapplianceautomaticallyadjuststhetemperatures
accordingtotheconditionsinsideandoutsidetherefrigerator,in
ordertominimisetheamountofenergyconsumed;theactivation
of this function is signalled by the I-CARELED onthekeypad
lightingup.
WhentheHOLIDAY functionisactivethetemperaturemaynot
beadjusted,howevertheapplianceadjustsitselfautomaticallyso
thattheoptimalsettingsforthesituationareused:+12°C for the
refrigeratorcompartmentand-18°Cforthefreezercompartment.
The activation of this function is indicated by the HOLIDAY LED
lightingup.
Twominutesafterthemostrecentuserinteraction,thedisplay
entersitsenergysavingmode.Toexittheenergysavingmode,
simplypressanybuttonoropentherefrigeratordoor.
Toactivateanddeactivatethefunctions,simplypresstherelevant
button;thefunctionstatuswillbesignalledbythecorresponding
LEDonthekeypadswitchingonoroff.
Several of the functions (, QUICK FREEZE, I-CARE) are
incompatiblewithothers(HOLIDAY,...);rememberthatthereis
apre-establishedorderofprioritywhichwillhelpyoutooperate
theproductinthebestpossibleway.
Chiller system
No Frost
TheNoFrostsystem circulates coldaircontinuouslytocollect
humidityandpreventiceandfrostformation.Thesystemmaintains
an optimal humidity level in the compartment, preserving the
original quality of the food, preventing the food from sticking
togetherandmakingdefrostingathingofthepast.Donotblock
theaerationcellsbyplacingfoodorcontainersindirectcontact
withtherefrigeratingbackpanel. Close bottles and wrapfood
tightly.

Using the refrigerator to its full potential
• Placeonlycoldorlukewarmfoodsinthecompartment,never
hotfoods(seePrecautionsandtips).
• Rememberthatcookedfoodsdonotlastlongerthanrawfoods.
• Donotstoreliquidsinopencontainers:theywillincreasethe
level of humidity in the refrigerator and cause condensation to
form.
SHELVES: with or without grill.
Due to the special guides the shelves are removable and the
heightisadjustable(seediagram),allowingeasystorageoflarge
containersandfood.Heightcanbeadjustedwithoutcomplete
removal of the shelf.
TEMPERATURE Indicatorlight
*: to identify the coldest area in
the refrigerator.
1. Check that OK appears clearly on the indicator light (see
diagram).
2. Iftheword“OK”doesnotappearitmeansthatthetemperature
istoohigh:adjusttheREFRIGERATOROPERATIONknobtoa
higherposition(colder)andwaitapproximately10hoursuntil
thetemperaturehasbeenstabilised.
3. Checktheindicatorlightagain:ifnecessary,readjustitfollowing
theinitialprocess.Iflargequantitiesoffoodhavebeenadded
or if the refrigerator door has been opened frequently, it is
normalfortheindicatornottoshowOK.Waitatleast10hours
beforeadjustingtheREFRIGERATOROPERATIONknobtoa
higher setting.
Food Care Zone *
Areadedicatedtothestorageoffreshfood,suchasmeatand
fish.Thankstothelowtemperatureinsidethecompartment,the
FoodCareZoneextendstheperiodoftimeforwhichthefood
canbestored,keepingitfreshforuptoaweek.
“FOOD CARE ZONE 0°C” / Safe Defrost*:
Inthe “FOODCARE ZONE0°C” compartmentthere arelower
temperaturesthaninthefridge.Temperaturescangobelow0°C.
Thiscompartmentistheidealspottostoremeatandfish.You
canalsostoremilk,dairyproducts,freshpasta,cookedfoodor
leftovers.
Thiscompartmentisalsosuitabletodefrostfoodsinahealthy
way,becausethedefrostingprocessatlowtemperaturesinhibits
themicroorganismsproliferation.
Thiscompartmentisnotsuitableforvegetables,saladandsalads.
The 0°C can be obtained in normal conditions and when the
fridgecompartmentissetto4°andthefreezerissetto-18°C.
Whenyoudecrease thefridgetemperatureyoualsodecrease
thetemperatureofthe“FOODCAREZONE0°C”compartment.
FRUIT and VEGETABLE bin

Thesaladcrispers fittedinsidethe fridgehave been specially
designedforthepurposeofkeepingfruitandvegetablesfreshand
crisp.Openthehumidityregulator(positionB) if you want to store
foodinalesshumidenvironmentlikefruit,orcloseit(positionA)
to store food in a more humid environment like vegetable.

Using the freezer to its full potential
• Adjustthetemperatureusingthedisplay.
• Freshfoodthatneedstobefrozenmustnotcomeintocontact
withfoodthathasalreadybeendefrosted.Freshfoodmust
bestoredinthetopFREEZERandSTORAGEcompartment
where the temperature drops below -18°C and guarantees
rapidfreezing.
• Tofreezefreshfoodinthebestandsafestwaypossible,activate
theQUICKFREEZEfunction24hoursbeforeplacingthefood
inthefreezer.Afterplacingthefoodinside,activatetheQUICK
FREEZEfunctionagain;itwillbedeactivatedautomaticallyafter
24hours;
• Donotre-freezefoodthatisdefrostingorthathasalreadybeen
defrosted.Thesefoodsmustbecookedandeaten(within24
hours).
• Donotplaceglassbottleswhichcontainliquids,andwhich
arecorkedorhermeticallysealedinthefreezerbecausethey
could break.
• The maximum quantity of food that may be frozen daily is
indicated on the plate containing the technical properties
locatedonthebottomleftsideoftherefrigeratorcompartment
(forexample:Kg/24h:4).
ACTIVE OXYGEN *
This device releases ozone molecules inside the refrigerator;
ozone is a natural substance which combats bacteria and
microorganisms, reducing their proliferation while limiting
unpleasantodours.
Automaticallydefinestheamountofozonerequiredforprolonging
the freshness of foodstuffs, eliminating odours and preventing
bacteriabuild-up.
There may be a slight distinctive odour inside the refrigerator.
Theverysamesmellcansometimesbedetectedduringastorm,
duetotheozoneproducedasthechargeinthelightningbolts
isreleased;thisiscompletelynormal.Theamountproducedby
thedeviceisverysmallandabatesquicklyastheantibacterial
actiontakesplace.
Deviceisactivatedpressingthededicatedswitchlocatedinright
sideoftheOxigendevice.
With the Active Oxigen switched on, the device will operate
a repeted cycle until the key is pressed again. There will be
an Ozone emission noticed by the switching on of the green
led located on the Active Oxigen device located in the fridge
compartmentandastand-bycicle(withoutzoneemission)noticed
by blue light.

! To avoid blocking the air circulation inside the freezer
compartment,itisadvisablenottoobstructtheventilationholes
with food or containers.
!Donotopenthedoorduringfreezing.
!Ifthereisapowercutormalfunction,donotopenthefreezer
door.Thiswillhelpmaintainthetemperatureinsidethefreezer,
ensuringthatfoodsareconservedforatleast9-14hours.
!To maximise space inside the freezer, all drawers [with the
exception of the bottom drawer] can be removed from their
positionsandthefoodplaceddirectlyontheracks/glassshelves
supplied[wherepresent].
Hidden Shelf
*
Thereiswireshelfinsidethefreezercompartmentlocatedbetween
theupperandlowerfreezerbaskets.ToAccesswireshelf,remove
thebasketoftheupperfreezerdoor.Wireshelfmayberemoved
outofthefreezerbyholdingupfromthefrontedge.
Itisrecommendedtousethewireshelfonlyforlongtermstorage.
ICE DEVICE*
Afterpouringwaterinthespecialicecups,placethemintheir
placesintheicedevice.Afterabout2hours,theicecubeswill
beready.Inordertogettheicecubes,itwillbesufficienttoturn
the two buttons to the right. The ice cubes will fall in to the tray
below,readytobeused.
Ifyouneedmorestoragespace,theICEDEVICEmaybetakenout
bypushingthenailonthetopoftheicedevice.
!Toclosetherefrigeratordoortopayattentiontotheverticalbracket
position(seefigure)
Maintenance and care
Switching the appliance off
Duringcleaningandmaintenanceitisnecessarytodisconnect
theappliancefromtheelectricitysupply:
1. PresstheON/OFFbuttontoswitchofftheappliance.
2. Pulltheplugoutofthesocket.
!Ifthisprocedureisnotfollowed,thealarmmaysound.Thisalarm
does not indicate a malfunction. To restore normal operation,
hold the ON/OFF button down for more than two seconds. To
disconnecttheappliance,followpoints1and2above.
Cleaning the appliance
• Theexternalandinternalparts,aswellastherubbersealsmay
becleanedusingaspongethathasbeensoakedinlukewarm
waterandbicarbonateofsodaor neutral soap.Donotuse
solvents,abrasiveproducts,bleachorammonia.
• Theremovableaccessoriesmaybesoakedinwarmwaterand
soapordishwashingliquid.Rinseanddrythemcarefully.
• The back of the appliance may collect dust which can be
removed by delicately using the hose of a vacuum cleaner set
onmediumpower.Theappliancemustbeswitchedoffand
theplugmustbepulledoutbeforecleaningtheappliance.
Avoiding mould and unpleasant odours
• Theapplianceismanufacturedwithhygienicmaterialswhich
areodourfree.Inordertomaintainanodourfreerefrigerator
andtopreventtheformationofstains,foodmustalwaysbe
coveredorsealedproperly.
• Ifyouwanttoswitchtheapplianceoffforanextendedperiod
oftime,cleantheinsideandleavethedoorsopen.
Replacing the light LED *
Thanks to the powerful light it emits, the new dual LED lighting
systemoffersaclearviewofallfoods,withnoshadowyareas.
If the LEDs need to be replaced, please contact the Technical
AssistanceService.

Disposal
• Observe local environmental standards when disposing
packagingmaterialforrecyclingpurposes.
• TheEuropeanDirective2002/96/EConWasteElectricaland
Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household
electricalappliancesmustnotbedisposedofinthenormal
unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be
collected separately in order to optimise the recovery and
recyclingofthematerialstheycontainandreducetheimpact
on human health and the environment. The crossed out
“wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your
obligation,thatwhenyoudisposeoftheapplianceitmustbe
separately collected. Consumers should contact their local
authority or retailer for information concerning the correct
disposaloftheiroldappliance.
Respecting and conserving the
environment
• Installtheapplianceinafreshandwell-ventilatedroom.Ensure
thatitisprotectedfromdirectsunlightanddonotplaceitnear
heat sources.
• Trytoavoidkeepingthedooropenforlongperiodsoropening
thedoortoofrequentlyinordertoconserveenergy.
• Do not fill the appliance with too much food: cold air must
circulatefreelyforfoodtobepreservedproperly.Ifcirculation
isimpeded,thecompressorwillworkcontinuously.
• Donotplacehotfooddirectlyintotherefrigerator.Theinternal
temperaturewillincreaseandforcethecompressortowork
harder and will consume more energy.
• Defrosttheapplianceificeforms(see Maintenance).Athick
layeroficemakescoldtransferencetofoodproductsmore
difficultandresultsinincreasedenergyconsumption.
Troubleshooting
Iftheappliancedoesnotwork,beforecallingforAssistance(see
Assistance),checkforasolutionfromthefollowinglist.
The display is completely switched off.
• Theplughasnotbeeninsertedintotheelectricalsocket,ornot
farenoughtomakecontact,orthereisnopowerinthehouse.
The motor does not start.
• Theappliance comes with a motor protection control (see
Start-up and use).
The display is on but it is dim.
• Pulloutandreversetheplugbeforeputtingitbackinthesocket.
The alarm sounds and DOOR OPEN ALARM flashes on the
display (flash the set temperature in the refrigerator).
• Therefrigeratordoorhasbeenopenformorethantwominutes.
 Thesoundalertstopswhenthedoorisclosedorwhenthe
applianceisswitchedoffandonagain.
The alarm sounds and TEMPERATURE ALARM flashes
on the display (“A1” is displayed instead of the FREEZER
temperature).
• Thetemperatureinsidethefreezeristoohigh.Thefreezerwill
maintainatemperatureofaround0°Csothatthefoodwillnot
refreeze,allowingyoutoeatitwithin24hoursortorefreezeit
after it has been cooked.
 Toswitchoffthebuzzer,openandclosetheappliancedoor
orpressthe+and–freezertemperatureadjustmentbuttons
once.Pressthesebuttonsasecond time todisplaytheset
value on the freezer display, switch off the TEMPERATURE
ALARMLEDandrestorenormaloperation.
The alarm sounds and temperature alarm flashes on
the display (“A2” is displayed instead of the FREEZER
temperature).
• The temperature of the freezer is dangerouslyhigh: the
food inside must not be eaten. The freezer will maintain a
temperatureofapproximately-18°C.
 Toswitchoffthebuzzer,openandclosetheappliancedoor
orpressthe+and–freezertemperatureadjustmentbuttons
once.Pressthesebuttonsasecond time todisplaytheset
value on the freezer display, switch off the TEMPERATURE
ALARMLEDandrestorenormaloperation.
The refrigerator and the freezer do not cool well.
• Thedoorsdonotcloseproperlyorthesealsaredamaged.
• Thedoorsareopenedtoofrequently.
• Thetemperaturethathasbeensetistoohigh(see Start-up and
use).
• Therefrigeratororthefreezerhavebeenover-filled.
The food inside the refrigerator is beginning to freeze.
• Thetemperaturethathasbeensetistoolow(see Start-up and
use).
The motor runs continuously.
• TheQUICKFREEZEbuttonhasbeenpressed(rapidfreezing):
the yellow QUICK FREEZE light is on or flashing (see
Description).
