Before First Use
Remove any labels or stickers from appliance. Thoroughly wash cooking pot and lid in warm,
soapy water before first use then rinse and dry carefully.
Keep Warm Function
When your rice cooker is plugged in to a power socket it will be in keep warm function. The
keep warm feature should be used to keep the cooked rice warm until serving. Using this
feature for more than 12 hours will cause discoloration and odour and should be avoided. Rice
is best consumed soon after it is cooked. Never leave the rice spoon or other utensil in the
cooker while using the keep warm function.

approximately 2 cups of cooked rice.

uncooked rice then add another ½ cup of water, e.g. 2 cups rice 2½ cups water, 3 cups rice
3½ cups water etc. NOTE: Different kinds of rice absorb water at different rates. The exact
proportions of rice and water change with the type of rice to be cooked.

sure the rice pot is completely in contact with the heating element. Close the cover.
6. With the cooking pot in position and cover closed, plug the cord into a suitable power supply

will come on indicating it the keep warm function will continue to keep the rice warm.
NOTE: The cookers keep warm function will remain ON unless unplugged. Always unplug
after use.
9. Leave the rice covered for 6-8 minutes to steam the rice. Keep the lid in place after serving
to prevent your rice from drying out or discolouring.

To reheat cold, previously cooked rice, add about ¼ cup (4 tablespoon) of cold water per cup
of cooked rice, stir to mix, then press the “ON/OFF” switch. DO NOT use the keep warm
