SM24DPA Packing List:
Before you start installing SM24DPA Managed Switch, please verify that the package
contains the following items:

AC Power Cord
Mounting Accessory (for 19” Rack Shelf)
User’s Guide CD-ROM
RS-232 Null Modem Cable
Please notify your sales representative immediately if any of the aforementioned items is
missing or damaged.

Quick Installation:
1. Install the switch in the rack with mounting accessory.
2. Connect the SM24DPA switch to an AC power source.
3. The port 9–24 connector is (100/1000) SFP port on the switch. Use Fiber cable to
connect between SM24DPA and end station.
4. The port 1– 8 includes two types of media --- TP and (100/1000M) SFP fiber module;
they support TP or fiber with auto-detected function.
5. Use RS-232 interface to pre-configure SM24DPA for network management.
For example: IP address, VLAN, Port Trunk, STP, etc.
SM24DPA switch’s serial port default settings are listed as follows:
Baud rate 115200
Stop bits 1
Data bits 8
Parity N
Flow control none
The default values of SM24DPA switch are as follows:
IP Address : 192.168.1.77
Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway : 192.168.1.254
Username : admin
Password : admin
User also can use telnet or web to pre-configure SM24DPA with the default IP address
and username/password in the first configuration. Please refer to User’s Guide contained
in CD-ROM for details on the setting of parameters. SM24DPA user’s manual is filed
under the path: \manual of the CD-ROM.

Self-demolition on Product is strictly prohibited. Damage caused by self-demolition will
be charged for repairing fees.
Do not place product at outdoor or sandstorm.
Before installation, please make sure input power supply and product specifications are
compatible to each other.
Before importing / exporting configuration please make sure the firmware version is
always the same.
After firmware upgrade, the switch will remove the configuration automatically to latest
firmware version.
