Quick Installation Guide
UPVEL PoE+ Switch provides the power and flexibility for
the most demanding network installations. The data and the
power can be transmitted via the same Ethernet cable. The
switch has 16 PoE+ ports with total amount of 30 watts.
Safely connect power and data hungry PoE+ devices, such
as outdoor security cameras, motorized PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom)
cameras, VoIP phone systems, and high power access
points. All ports auto-detect the connected PoE device
class, and provides the full power for a maximum of 9
IEEE802.3at compliant PoE+ and 15 IEEE802.3af compliant
PoE devices, or a combination thereof. Upvel PoE+
switches reduce costly equipment and installation upgrades
by delivering data and power over existing Ethernet cable
installations. The GREENforce provides energy efficiency
up to 75%. LED indicators help to define and fix network
failures. This switch has an internal power supply and is
rack mountable. Upvel PoE+ switches can be easily used to
connect devices which support PoE (and which do not) to
your network.

Installation
• Please install the switch in a cool and dry place;
• Make sure that there is proper heat dissipation from t
he
s
witch and adequate ventilation around the switch;
• The power input should be 110-240V, and the outlet
should be not too far away for the power cable to reach
(the length of the power cable supplied is 150 cm).
Desktop installation:
• The surface must support at least 10kg;
• Stick the rubber footpads supplied to the bottom of t
he
s
witch.
Rack installation:
• Use the the screws and L-planks supplied.

Network connection
C
onnect your devices to the ports of the switch with UTP CAT-
5/CAT-5e/CAT-6 network cable. The switch supports Auto
MDI/MDI-X so you can use either a straight or crossed network
cable.
A
ny of the ports may be used as an uplink port, as well as a port for
a PoE or non-PoE network device.

Troubleshooting
The LEDs on the front panel can help you to define the network
failures. This section describes common problems you can possibly
face with and the ways to fix them.
1. Link LED
If the Link LED is off after connecting a device you should:
• check the network interfaces of the device you connect and
of the switch;
• check the network cable you use;
• make sure the network cable connected into both network
interfaces (of the switch and the device you intend to
connect);
• make sure the length of the cable does not exceed the
specified limit (100 meters).
2. Power LED
If the Power LED is off after plugging the power cable into the
socket and the outlet please make sure that:
• there is power in the outlet;
• the power cable is not damaged
If after the plugging the power cable the Power LED lights up but
then turns off after a while, make sure that:
• there is no significant wears in your electric grid;
• the power cable is not tightened (it can cause inadvertent
unplugging).

16-портовый PoE+ коммутатор с технологией GREENforce
позволяет значительно сэкономить на приобретении и монтаже
дополнительного оборудования и кабелей. Для передачи
данных и питания устройств можно использовать имеющиеся
сетевые кабели (технология Power over Ethernet). Данный
неуправляемый коммутатор имеет 16 портов Ethernet PoE+,
каждый из которых обеспечивает до 30 Вт для питания таких
устройств, как уличные Wi-Fi точки доступа повышенной
мощности, наклонно-поворотные IP-камеры, VoIP
оборудование и др.
Блок питания – встроенный. Предусмотрена возможность
установки в стойку. Коммутатор автоматически распознает тип
подключенного устройства и обеспечивает до 30 Вт для
устройств стандарта 802.3at PoE+ (не более девяти
подключенных устройств) и до 15 Вт для устройств стандарта
802.3af PoE. Если к порту подключено устройство, не
поддерживающее технологию PoE, то подача питания
автоматически блокируется, и через порт передаются только
данные. В случае простоя коммутатора технология GREENforce
обеспечивает энергосбережение до 75 %. Светодиодная
индикация состояния соединений облегчает поиск
неисправностей в сети. Прочный металлический корпус
надежно защищает внутренние компоненты коммутатора от
повреждений. С помощью данного коммутатора можно быстро
объединить в единую сеть устройства, поддерживающие и не
поддерживающие технологию PoE.

Установка
• Устанавливайте коммутатор в сухом прохладном месте.
• Не перегораживайте вентиляционные отверстия.
• Убедитесь, что напряжение в электрической розетке - от

досягаемости силового кабеля коммутатора (длина
силового кабеля из комплекта поставки - 150 см).
При установке в шкаф или на стол:
• убедитесь, что поверхность может выдержать вес не
менее 10 килограммов;

Подключение к сети
Подключите ваши устройства к портам коммутатора с помощью
кабеля типа "витая пара" CAT-5, CAT-5e или CAT-6. Поддержка
Auto MDI/MDI-X позволяет использовать кабель как прямой, так
и перекрёстной схемы обжима.
Любой из портов может использоваться для аплинка, для
подключения PoE-устройств и для подключения обыкновенных
сетевых устройств, не поддерживающих технологию Power over
Ethernet.

Выявление и устранение неполадок
С

помогут вам выявить неполадки в вашей сети. В этой секции вы
найдёте список типичных проблем и подсказки, которые
помогут вам в их устранении.
1.
Индикатор Link/Act
Е
сли индикатор Link/Act не горит после подключения
устройства, вам нужно проверить состояние сетевых
интерфейсов подключенного устройства и коммутатора, а
также состояние сетевого кабеля, который вы используете.
Убедитесь, что кабель подключен и в порт коммутатора, и в
порт подключаемого устройства. Удостоверьтесь, что длина
используемого кабеля не превышает установленные
ограничения (100м).
2.
Индикатор Power
Е
сли индикатор Power не горит после подключения силового
кабеля к разъему питания и электрической розетке,
удостоверьтесь, что:
• в розетке есть напряжение;
• силовой кабель не повреждён.
Если же индикатор Power горит после подключения, но через
некоторое время устройство отключается, убедитесь, что:
• в вашей электросети нет сильных перепадов
напряжения;
• силовой кабель не натянут (и не отключается из-з
а
этого самопроизвольно).
Если эти меры не помогают решить проблему, обратитесь в
сервисный центр.

Приложение
Обратите внимание на то, что кабели должны быть обжаты
согласно спецификациям. Несоответствие стандартам может
замедлить передачу данных, сделать её нестабильной или
вовсе невозможной.
