ICP DAS USA tM-R5 is a 5-channel Form A power relay output data acquisition module. It provides 5 channels of Form A type relay output. Options are provided for configuring power-on and safe digital output values. 4 kV ESD protection and 3750 VDC intra-module isolation are also provided. 1. Introduction
This quick start manual will guide users to implement the tM-R5
module into their applications in a quick and easy way. This will only
provide with the basic instructions. For the more detailed information,
please refer to the tM-R5 user’s manual located on the ICPDAS CD-ROM
or from ICP DAS web site:

5. Default Settings
Default settings for the tM DIO modules are as follows:
。 Protocol: Modbus RTU
。 Module Address: 01
。 DIO Type: Type 40
。 Baud Rate: 9600 bps
6. Configuration
1. Booting the tM-R5 in Init mode.
Make sure the switch placed in the “init” position.

3. Open DCON utility pro
click on COM port(first icon).
It can select multi-options such as Baud Rate, Protocol, Checksum, and Format to
search module. The default settings for the module can be found in Section 3. Click OK
after selecting the COM port setting.

5. DCON utility pro will search for the selected COM port according the setting
previously set. DCON Utility Pro supports DCON and Modbus protocol for all ICPDAS
and the others modules.

7. Rebooting the tM-R5 module in normal mode
Make sure the INIT switch is placed in the “Normal” position
8. Starting the module operation
After rebooting the tM-R5 module, search for the module to make sure the settings have
been changed. You can double click on the name of the module in the list to open the
configuration dialog box.
