PREWASH Forremoving surface dirt from heavily soiledclothes. Make sureto follow with a

regular wash cycle.

COTTONS Forheavy to lightly soiledcottons, household linens,work and play clothes.

WRINKLEFREE Foreasy care,wrinkle-free and permanent pressitems.

DELICATES Forlingerieand special-care fabricswith light to normal soil.

KNITS Specially designedfor normally soiled knits.

Custom Care (on some models)

Theagitator moves clothes around for a cleaner wash;the basket spins later in the cycle to releasewater from the load.

TheWash/Spin Speeddial setsthe speedof both the agitator and the basket.

Wash Speeds:

With Normal wash speed, the agitator willmove at a higher speed. Use for cottons, denims and play clothes.

With Gentle wash speed, the agitator moves slower. Use for delicate and knit items.

Spin Speeds:

The Fast spin speed is for normal items. Use it to remove more water from your clothes to allow them to dry faster

in the dryer.

TheSlowspinspeed isfor delicate items likesweaters and lingerie.When usingSlowspin speed,clotheswill be lessdry

than when using Fastspinspeed.

About washer features.

The Agitator Cap or Fabric Softener Dispenser (depending on model)

Theagitator cap fits intothe top of the

agitator. If it accidentally comes off,

simply put it back on.

Thefabric softener dispenser automatically

releasesliquid fabric softener at the proper

time during the cycle.

Do not stop thewasher during the first spin.

This will cause thedispenser to empty

too soon.

[-_ Add water to dispenseruntil it reaches

the maximum fill line.

To use, follow these steps:

F_ ivlake suredispenser issecurely attached

to agitator.

r_ use onlu liquid fabric softener.

Pour into dispenser,using amount

recommended on package.

Never pour fabric softener directlg on

clothes. It mag stain them.

Do not pour anything into the

agitator if the agitator cap or

dispenser is removed.

Separate for cleaning

Cleaning the Fabric Softener Dispenser (onsomemodels)

F_ Removethe dispenserfrom the top of the agitator.

r_ Separatethe dispenser cup from the cover by grasping the top and pushingdown on the

insideof the cup with your fingers.Dispensercup will pop freefrom the cover.

_]To cleanthe dispenser,soak both the dispensercup and the dispensercover in the

following solution:

[] J USgallon (5.8liters)warm water

[] J/4 cup (60m!)heavy-duty liquid detergent

[] J cup (240m!)bleach

r_lf necessary,loosen buildup with a clean, soft cloth after soaking.Do not usea stiff brush;

you may roughen the surfaceof the dispenser.

_] Rinseand reassemble dispenser.Placedispenserback on the agitator.

Liquid Bleach Funnel (onsome models)

The water fill dilutes liquid chlorine bleach asthe washer fills for the wash cucle.

SortingWashLoads

Sort by color (whites,lights,colors),soillevel,

fabric type (sturdy cottons,easy care,delicates)

and whether the fabric produces lint (terry cloth,

chenille)or collects lint (velveteen,corduroy).

ProperUseofDetergent

Add detergent and start the washer before adding

clothes so that the detergent canwork effectively.

Usingtoo little or too much detergent isa common

cause of laundry problems.

Youcan uselessdetergent if you havesoft water,

a smaller load or a lightly soiledload.

Load dry items loosely,no higher than the top row of

holesin the washer basket. When loading wet items,

make sure you set the load/water levelhigh enough

to allow the itemsto move freely. Water levelshould

just cover the clothes.Toadd items after washer has

started, lift the lid and submerge additional items next

Exterior: Immediately wipe off any spills.Wipe

with damp cloth.Try not to hit surface with

sharp objects.

Moving and Storage: Ask the servicetechnician to

remove water from drain pump and hoses.Seethe
