1. Carefully unpack the speakers. Do not lift or remove the speakers
from the box by the function knobs or connected cables, as this may
damage the speaker unit.
2. Place the satellite speakers and subwoofer in the desired listening
location.
Subwoofer: Since stereo sound emanates only from the two satellites,
and because the low-frequency sound from the subwoofer is non-
directional, placement of the subwoofer in relation to the satellites
won’t affect the overall balance of sound. To optimize bass efciency,
however, it’s best to place the subwoofer on the oor near a wall or in
a corner of the room. NOTE: Though featuring a magnetically shielded
design so the speaker system is free from interference when placed
near a monitor or TV, the subwoofer can cause interference in other
components. Position the subwoofer at least 30 cm (1 ft.) away from
monitors and TVs.
Satellites: Arrange the two satellite speakers to suit your listening
preferences — right next to the TV or as far apart as the speaker
cord allows. NOTE: Like the subwoofer, the satellites are also
magnetically shielded; however, as they won’t cause interference,
they can be placed next to other electrical components.
3. Using the included RCA cables, connect the right and left satellite
speakers to the subwoofer through the corresponding (left and right)
output jacks (4) on the rear panel of the subwoofer.
4. Connect the input jack (7) on the rear panel of the subwoofer to the
audio source (tuner, computer, game system or whatever). NOTE:
Connect to the headphone jack of the source if it’s the only output
available.
5. Plug the AC power cord (6) on the back of the subwoofer into an
electrical outlet.
6. With the audio source turned on and generating an audio signal, ip
the power switch (5) on the subwoofer to the on position.
7. Adjust the volume using the wired control (8).
8. Adjust the levels of treble and bass by turning the knobs (2 & 3) on the
subwoofer.
