Usage conditions and restrictions
tFollow the instructions in this manual when installing and adjusting the TV set.
Only adjust those controls that are covered in this instruction manual; improper
adjustment of other controls may result in damage. If this happens, unplug the TV
and have it serviced by appropriately qualied personnel.
tDo not change or modify the TV set in any way. Only use the attachments/
accessories specied by the manufacturer.
tDo not cover the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, tablecloths,
curtains etc., as this could impede ventilation.
tDo not insert any objects of any kind into this unit through the ventilation slots, as
they could touch the current-carrying parts or short-circuit parts, resulting in re,
electric shock or damage to the unit.
tDo not touch the screen with ngers, as this may scratch or mar the TV screen.
tDo not impact the TV screen with hard pressure, as this may damage the TV screen
severely.

Position
tIf a television is not positioned in a suciently stable location, it can be potentially
hazardous due to falling. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by
taking simple precautions such as:
tUsing cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer of the television.
tOnly using furniture that can safely support the television.

tWhen not in use, disconnect the power cord from the outlet. Grasp the plug, not
the cord, when disconnecting the unit. Pulling the cord can damage the internal
wires and may cause a re.
tNever touch the TV screen, antenna or cord during thunderstorms. Stop use
during thunderstorms; unplug the unit when a thunderstorm is approaching.

tEnsuring the TV is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
tNot placing the TV on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases)
without anchoring both the furniture and the TV to a suitable support.
tNot standing the TV on cloth or other materials placed between the TV and
supporting furniture.
tEducating children about the dangers of climbing up to reach the TV controls.
tSecurely attaching the TV to a wall mount fastened on the wall.
tWhen deciding where to put the TV set, make sure the place is:
tWell ventilated. Leave at least a 20cm space all around the TV set for good
ventilation.
tProtected from overheating and away from direct sunlight.
tAway from damp and cold.
tAway from areas with extremes of temperature (below 0°C or exceeding 40°C)
or moisture.
tAway from moisture drips or splashes.
tProtected from excessive dust.
tDo not install this equipment in a conned space such as a bookcase or similar.
tDo not put any objects lled with liquids, such as vases, on top of the TV set.
tDo not place any naked ame sources, such as lighted candles, on top of the TV.
tDo not install the unit in an unstable space.
Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING: Be sure to disconnect the power cord before proceeding with any
cleaning or maintenance task.
tDust the TV set by wiping the screen and cabinet with a soft, clean cloth.
tDo not apply excessive force to the screen when cleaning.
tDo not clean the screen with water or chemical cleaners, as this may damage the
LED LCD screen surface.
tDo not dismantle this product by yourself, as this may cause damage. There are no
user-serviceable parts contained in the TV set.
tIf your TV set has been damaged, contact the after sales support line for advice or
take it to a local service centre for inspection or repair. No liability can be accepted
for any damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions or any other
improper use or mishandling of appliance.
tThis product should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except properly
qualied personnel.

Assembly
Step 1:
Place a soft, cushioned
surface to prevent damaging
the LED LCD screen. Then
on top, with the screen side
stand to the support column,
as illustrated on the right.
Step 2:
Use the four supplied KA4*12
screws to fasten the stand
to the support column, as
illustrated on the right.
There are a total of 4 screws
to fasten the base to the TV
support column.
The stand is now fully
assembled.

NOTE: Two of these screws
are already assembled on the
connecting part to hold it in
place during transportation.
You need to take them out
before assembling the stand.
Wall-mounting
This television set is equipped with holes on the back panel for use with wall-
mounting brackets (not included). Please use the image below as a reference when
buying wall-mounting brackets.
NOTE: The distance between the holes is 200 x 100mm in width and heigh

to remove the entire stand assembly.
NOTE: The screws in the package are for securing the TV stand only. If you are
wall-mounting the TV, consult a qualified installer for further instructions on
bracket support and wall support.

DVD and media buttons
In DVD mode, use the buttons below for the following actions:
ANGLE Press to display the current playback angle;
press again to toggle between different
playback angle codes in sequence.
NOTE: Selectable playback angle is only
available if the DVD has this feature.
ZOOM Press to zoom in on the picture.
AUDIO Press to select sound mode.
SUBTITLE Press to display subtitles (if available).
DVD MENU Press to display the disc menu.
TITLE Press to display the title.

FAST TEXT The RED, GREEN, YELLOW & BLUE buttons are used for quick access to
colour-coded pages transmitted by FAST TEXT broadcast.
Example: RED selects city information, BLUE selects travel information,
GREEN selects weather information, YELLOW selects TV
programming.

Teletext function
Teletext or Austext is no longer available, nor is there any plan for a replacement
teletext service in Australia. For more information, please visit the websites of the
Australian channel providers.
However, one teletext option, closed captions, is still working on most Australian
television channels. This service allows you to activate subtitles while watching
normal television programmes that provide it.
Accessing closed captions
While watching a programme, press the teletext button (TEXT/MIX) on the remote
control, then enter the numbers 801 on the remote control to activate the subtitles.
To exit the subtitles, press the TEXT/MIX button again.

tRemove the battery cover on the back of the
remote control by gently pushing down the
cover lock and pulling the cover upwards.
tInsert two AAA alkaline or equivalent
batteries, following the +/- marking in the
battery compartment.
tReplace the battery cover.

tThe remote control will not operate if its path is blocked.
tDo not drop the remote control unit; do not subject it to physical shocks.
tKeep the remote control unit dry; wetting it may cause the unit to malfunction.
tReplace the batteries with new ones when operation of the unit deteriorates.
Precautions when using batteries
tDo not use old and new batteries together.

1. Connect the antenna to the RF 75Ω socket.
2. Turn on the TV. The First Time Installation menu will be displayed on the screen,
as below.

3. Press / on the remote control to select the desired tuning type:
DTV - digital channels (SD/HD)
ATV - analogue channels only
ATV + DTV - all channels available in your area
4. Use the
/ / / navigation keys to select the desired language, then press
[OK] to enter the Channel Tuning screen. The default language of this TV is
English.
5. The TV will start searching channels automatically from the lowest frequency.
When it nds a station, it will store this in the rst location and move to the
next. When auto tuning is completed, the TV will display the channels in logical
channel number (LCN) order.
6. Press [MENU] or [EXIT] to cancel the auto tuning.

Make sure all necessary connections are correctly made before connecting the unit
to the wall socket and turning on the power. The power indicator turns red and the
unit is in stand-by mode.
Power on/off
Press on the remote control (or on the side of the TV) to turn on the power to the
TV. The power indicator turns from red (stand-by) to blue (on).
The unit will switch to stand-by mode and the power
indicator turns red.
Basic Operations
TV channel selection
then choose your channel one of the following ways:
tPress [CH ] or [CH ] on the main unit.
tPress [0–9] (combined [-/--] if necessary) to input the channel number directly.
tPress [LAST CH] to go back to the previous channel you watched last time.
Mute function
Press [MUTE
again (or the [ / ] button) to restore the sound.
Volume adjustment
Press [VOL-] to reduce the volume, press [VOL+] to increase the volume.

Sleep timer
The sleep timer automatically switches o the power after a preset time has
elapsed. There are eight time periods available, press [SLEEP] on the remote control
repeatedly to select your desired time period:

Once you have nished setting the sleep timer, it will start automatically.
To check for how much longer the TV will remain on until it switches o, press the
[SLEEP] button on the remote control and the remaining sleep time will appear on
the screen for a few seconds.
Input source
Make sure you have the external input device (such as a home theatre) properly
connected. Turn on the external device and press [SOURCE] on the TV remote
control to select it. The input source menu appears.

/ to move the highlighted bar to the
desired source item.
2. Press [OK] or
to conrm, information of the selected source name will appear on
the TV screen for a few seconds.
Information display
Press [DISPLAY] on the remote control, the related information about the current
source will appear on the screen automatically.
Picture mode
Press [P.MODE] repeatedly on the remote control to select your desired picture
mode from the four available: Standard, Dynamic, Mild, Personal.
Sound mode
Press [S.MODE] repeatedly on the remote control to select your desired sound
mode from the ve available: Standard, Music, Movie, Sports, Personal.
Audio language
For some programmes with audio language options, pressing [LANGUAGE] will display
the dierent audio language options for selection.
