Theexternalcontrol(i.e.Model76ControlorModel8910
HomeComfortControl)provideson‐demandcontrolofthe
dehumidifierforthePrimaryZone.WhenthePrimaryZone
callsfordehumidification,the dehumidifier energizesthe
dampers,andturnsonitsblowerandcompressor.The
dehumidifierwillalsoturnontheHVACSystemBlowerifwired
asshowninFigure3).ThePrimaryZonedemandwilloverride
anexistingSecondaryZonedemand.
TheSecondaryZoneiscontrolledbytherelativehumidity(RH)
settingatthedehumidifiercontrol.Onceanhour,or
immediatelyafterdehumidifyingtheprimaryzone,the
dehumidifierwill“sample”theairintheSecondaryZone.
Whensampling,thedampersarenotenergizedwhilethe
dehumidifierblowerrunsandtheRHismeasuredIftheRHis
abovethesettingonthecontrol,thecompressorwillturnon
andtheSecondaryZonewillbe dehumidified.
