Lenovo Tab E10: Charging
The tablet may need to be charged
before use, however it does not need to
be fully charged for setup. Try to plug it
in somewhere accessible so you can
continue with setup while it charges.
1. Attach the micro USB cable to the
power adapter and to the micro
USB connector port on the tablet
(labelled number 6 on p.4)
1. Plug the power adapter into the
power outlet and turn on
1. Hold down the power button for 2-
3 seconds to switch the tablet on

the packaging
1. There are three SIM sizes
- standard, micro and
nano.
1. Break out the nano SIM
option - this is the
smallest option

1. Pull out the card tray
1. Insert the Nano-SIM as
pictured here, with the
metallic side facing down
(ignore the microSD card)
1. Gently push the card tray
back into the slot and replace

1. Press and hold the power key (top
or left - see p.4) for 2-3 seconds to
switch the device on
1. If the device does not switch on:
a. Please ensure you have
charged the device for at least
half an hour

The next screen is for WiFi setup. If you
have WiFi in your home:
1. Locate the name and password for
the network. This is usually found
on the router.
1. Tap on the network name and
enter the password
1. Tap Connect then Next. Your tablet
may take a moment to check for
updates.

If you have connected to WiFi, skip to
p.34 to complete Google Account setup
before continuing with the next steps
Select today’s date and the correct
time. Please note this is important as if
you use the default time some updates
and features may not work properly.

Adding your name allows your tablet to
personalise some apps (only you will see
this)
Tap on the name to bring up the
keyboard
If you prefer to skip, or once the name is
entered, tap Next to proceed

Lenovo Tab E10: Screen Lock
The next screen will ask you to set up
device protection using one of the
following - this is highly recommended.
You will require this for future access -
so remember what you choose or make
a note somewhere safe
Pattern - Draw a pattern on a 9x9
grid, covering at least 4 dots
PIN - Set a PIN with at least 4 digits.
Remember to not use something
too obvious like your birthday or
‘1234’
Password - Set a password with at
least 4 letters, numbers or symbols
