the mains lead that could damage the appliance or cause
any risk to the user.
• Clean the housing and the heating plates (2) with a damp
cloth.
• Please ensure the power switch (4) is put into the OFF
position.
1. Close the plates of the hair straightener and slide the
safety interlock (5) into the locking position by sliding it
towards the heating plates (2).
NOTE:
• Keep the heating plates (2) closed while heating.
• The blue control LED indicator (8) remains on to
show that the appliance is in operation and caution
should be used around the appliance.
• The heating plates (2) should always be closed
during the intervals between hair straightening.
2. Insert the plug in a duly installed protective contact socket.
3. Slide the power switch (4) into the ON position. The blue
control LED indicator (8) will light up and will stay lit until
the appliance has been turned off.
NOTE:
Any smoke or smells produced by the appliance during
this procedure is normal. Please ensure for sufcient
ventilation.
4. Wait for the heating plates (2) to heat up.
5. Unlock the hair straightener by sliding the safety interlock
(5) into the unlocking position by sliding it away from the
heating plates and the plates will open. The appliance is
now ready to be used.
6. Straighten the hair by gently pressing the heating plates
(2) together with the hair pressed between the plates.
Avoid any contact with the heating plates (2) by holding
the appliance only by the heat insulated handle (3).
Repeat this until the hair is straightened before moving
on to the next section. The 360° turnable joint ensures for
easy handling of the appliance without kinking the power
cord or obstructing the user while operating the appliance.
7. After use, slide the power switch (4) into the OFF position
to turn off the appliance before unplugging the mains plug
from the power socket. The blue LED indicator (8) turns
off.
8. Remove the mains plug from the socket and allow the
appliance to cool down.
9. After the appliance has completely cooled down, wipe the
heating plates (2) clean with a paper towel.
WARNING:
Pay attention to the heated up heating plates (2). Risk of
burning.
CAUTION:
Do not use pointed or sharp objects to avoid damaging the
additional Tourmaline coating of the heating plates (2).
Electrical connection
1. Check whether the mains voltage that you want to use
matches the one of the appliance. You will nd the infor-
mation about this on the power plug.
2. Insert the plug in a duly installed protective contact socket.
3. After sliding the power switch (4) into the ON position the
blue control LED indicator (8) will light up and will stay lit
until the appliance has been switched off.
4. Switch off the appliance by sliding the power switch (4)
into the OFF position. The blue LED indicator (8) will turn
off and the mains plug can be removed from the power
socket.
Switching Off
If you would like to interrupt operation or switch the appliance
off, slide the power switch (4) into the OFF position and
remove the mains plug from the power socket. The blue LED
indicator (8) turns off.
Hanging loop
• The appliance can be hung by using the designated
hanging loop (6) for temporary storing.
• Please make sure the appliance is safely turned off and
the power switch (4) is put into the OFF position to avoid
any risk of injury or potential damage to the appliance
while moving around the appliance while hanging.
• Ensure that the power cord is not obstructing the move-
ment around the appliance while hanging to avoid any risk
of injury or potential damage to the appliance.
