Tips on using air conditioner
Here are some tips that you would follow when using your air conditioner.
Topic Recommendation
Cooling
If current outside temperatures are much higher than the selected indoor
temperature, it may take time to bring the inner temperature to the desired
coolness.
Avoid drastically turning down the temperature. Energy is wasted and the room
does not cool faster.
Fan
Fan may not operate for about 3~5 minutes at the beginning to prevent any cold
blasts while the air conditioner is warming up.
Power failure
If a power failure occurs during the operation of the air conditioner, the operating
immediately stops and unit will be off. When power returns, the air conditioner will
run automatically.
Protection mechanism
If the air conditioner has just been turned on after operation stops or being plugged
in, cool air does not come out for 3 minutes to protect the compressor of the Air
conditioner.
Use a thermostat that has compressor operation delay function.
If the air conditioner will not be used for an extended period of time, dry the air conditioner to maintain it in best condition.
1. Dry the air conditioner thoroughly by operating in Fan mode for 3 to 4 hours and disconnect the power plug. There may
be internal damage if moisture is left in components.
2. Before using the air conditioner again, dry the inner components of the air conditioner again by running in Fan mode for
3 to 4 hours. This helps remove odors which may have generated from dampness.
These operations must always be performed by qualified personnel.
For more detailed information, see the Installation and the wired controller manual.
Use a thermostat that has compressor operation delay function.

Start-up
The LCD will show the factory default display of 21°C when battery are first
installed. The temperature will update after a few seconds.
System Selector Switch
The System Selector switch on the front of the thermostat determines the operating
mode of the thermostat. You may select COOL, OFF.
Anytime you install or remove the thermostat from the wall plate, slide
the System Selector to the OFF position to prevent the possibility of a
rapid system On – OFF.
This product does not support Heat mode.
NOTE
Fan Switch
The Fan switch should normally be located in the AUTO position. The Fan will be
turned on along with normal operation of your system.
To run the Fan on continuously, slide the Fan switch to the ON position.
Review Current Set Temperature
Press either the up or down key once to see the Set Temperature.
- The factory default is 20°C when started with the System Switch Off or Heat, and 26°C when started with the System
Switch on Cool.

Using your air conditioner
Setting New Temperature
Press either the up or down once and display the set temperature.
Press either up or down again to change to your desired Set Temperature. Hold
the key down for over 2seconds to fast advance the Set Temperature. The display
will return to the normal room temperature after the keys have been released for
5seconds.
Filter Monitor
The thermostat counts the number of hours your systems filter has been in use.
To maximize your systems performance and energy efficiency, change or clean your
filter regularly.
When the total system runtime for heat and cool reaches 400 hours, the Filter
Change Indicator will flash as a reminder to check your systems filter.
After changing or cleaning the system filter, press and hold the Filter hole for 3
seconds. The display will blink, and the counter will be reset to zero.
Pressing the Filter key at any time for less than 3seconds will cause the Filter Change Indicator to appear on the
LCD. This is only to confirm key operation, and the counter is not affected unless the key is held for greater than
3seconds.
NOTE
Span Setting
Your thermostat is set at the factory to cycle at 1°C above and below the set temperature. (Span = 1) This setting has
been designed to provide a comfortable room temperature under most all conditions. However, if you find your system
cycling too fast or too slow, then the Span can be adjusted to modify the cycle time.
1. Press and hold both up and down keys for three seconds. SPAN will be displayed on
the LCD.
2. Press up to raise the Span to 2. This setting INCREASES to cycle time by allowing
your system to run LONGER.
3. The Span settings remain the same for both HEAT and COOL, and can be changed in
any System Switch position.
4. When battery are installed in the thermostat, the Span is reset back to setting 1.

- When any key is pressed, the display is illuminated.
- The display will remain illuminated for 5seconds after the last key is pressed. This allows the light to stay on if you need
to operate several keys.
If the thermostat is in Low Battery warning condition, the backlight will not operate.
Replace with 1 new AA alkaline battery to restore the Backlight function.
NOTE
Changing the battery
One fresh AA alkaline battery should provide well about one year of service. However, when the battery become drained,
The thermostat is shut down. At your earliest convenience, you need to replace the battery with 1 new AA alkaline
battery.
If you plan to be away from the premises over 30 days, we recommend that you replace the old battery with new
alkaline battery prior to leaving.
NOTE

problem, the thermostat will enter Error Mode. In this condition, the thermostat
flashes “E1or “E2on the LCD display, and shuts oyour system.
To correct this problem, replace the battery with 1new AA alkaline battery, even
if you have recently replaced them. Next, Move the battery out hold any key then
place the battery again. You will need to reprogram your thermostat and confirm
normal operation. If Error Mode returns, please call the seller of the thermostat for
further information.

Installation
Pre-Installation
Before installation, carefully check the following.
1) Unit should be installed in accordance with national and local safety standard, local plumbing and wastewater
standard and any other applicable standard.
2) For rooftop installation, be sure the structure has enough strength to support the weight of unit. Unit should be
installed on roof curb and leveled.
3) For ground level installation, a level slab should be used.
4) Condenser airflow should not be restricted.
5) On applications when a roof curb is used, the unit must be positioned on the curb so the front of the unit is tight
against the curb.
All units require certain clearance for proper operation and service. Refer to Fig. 1 for the clearances required for
construction, servicing and proper unit operation.
