Getting started
Your 'Internet Key 21.6 Mbps'
1- USB connector
It connects the Internet Key to a computer.
2- Slider
It extends or retracts the USB connector.
3- Indicator
It indicates the status of the Internet Key.
4- SIM card slot
It holds the Subscriber Indentify Module (SIM) card.
5- microSD card slot
It holds a microSD card.

Indicator
This indicator indicates the status of the Internet Key.
green, always on: The Internet Key is registering to the GPRS/EDGE network.
blue, always on: The Internet Key is registering to the 3G/HSPA/HSPA+ network.
green, blinking: The GPRS/EDGE connection is established.
blue, blinking: The 3G/HSPA/HSPA+ connection is established.
red, always on: The Internet Key is powered on and network not registered.
off: The Internet Key is not connected to the computer.
System requirements
To use the Internet Key, the system must meet the following requirements:

Mac OS X 10.4 or above
100 MB free hard disk space and 256 MB RAM or above
display resolution: 800 × 600 or above
Preparing Internet Key 21.6 Mbps
1. Take out the back cover of the internet key.
2. Insert the SIM card and microSD card into the card slots. Make sure the cards are
properly inserted.

Note:
The microSD Card is provided in the package. However you can replace it with
another SD Card.
Do not remove the SIM card and the microSD card when they are being used.
Removing the cards during an operation may damage the cards as well as the
device, and data stored on the cards may be corrupted.
Installation instructions
The procedure for installing Mobile Broadband software depends on the operating
system installed on your computer. The following section takes Windows XP as an
example.
Connecting the Internet Key with a computer
Note: First, power on a computer. Then connect the Internet Key with the computer.
Otherwise, the normal installation of the Internet Key can be affected.
One way: Plug the Internet Key into the USB interface of the computer.
The other way: Connect the Internet Key to a computer using the USB extension
cable.
Installing Mobile Broadband software
1. Connect the Internet Key to a computer.
2. The installation wizard automatically starts. If the installation wizard does not
respond, double-click the AutoRun.exe file in the driver path to manually install
the Mobile Broadband software.
3. Follow the instructions to install Mobile Broadband software.
Note: Do not disconnect the Internet Key during the installation process.
4. The shortcut icon of Mobile Broadband software will appear on the desktop.
Starting Mobile Broadband software
After the Internet Key is installed, Mobile Broadband software starts automatically.
You can also double-click the shortcut icon on the desktop to launch Mobile
Broadband software.
Uninstalling Mobile Broadband software
1. Choose Start
>
Control Panel.
2. Find Mobile Broadband, and click Add/Remove Programme to uninstall it.
Note: It is recommended to restart the system after uninstallation to ensure that
Mobile Broadband software is completely uninstalled.
Removing the Internet Key
1. Double-click the status area of the desktop; the «Safely Remove Hardware»
prompt is displayed.
2. Select «du Mass Storage USB Device» to stop.
3. At the prompt, remove the Internet Key.

GPRS: Stands for General Packet Radio Service, which allows data transmission.
EDGE: Stands for Enhanced Data rates for Global Evolution, an enhancement to

speeds than EDGE.
HSPA: Stands for High Speed Packet Access, an enhancement of 3G, bringing even
higher speeds. HSPA devices are already offering speeds of up to 7.2 megabits per
second.
HSPA+: Evolves from HSPA, providing higher speed data rates up to 21.6 megabits
per second.
