The GERMANIUM FILTER is a rich boost,
overdrive, fuzz, vintage-izing pedal. The pedal uses
a specially matched pair of obsolete 1960s Russian
germanium transistors unconventionally to create a
particularly full and saturated sound.
heavy - high: This is the filter
knob. Heavy is a deep bass
booster and high is a treble
screamer. Turning the knob sweeps
through a wide range of cut and
boosted frequencies.
clean - dirty: This is the gain knob.
It ranges from a dirty boost (clean)
to a blistering fuzz (dirty).
NOTE: Even with the gain knob
turned to ‘clean’ the sound of the
Germanium Filter is always
overdriven.
This pedal uses either a negative tip,
positive ring DC 9v adaptor or one 9v
battery for power. If not plugged into
an adaptor, disconnect the in jack to
save battery life.
INTERNAL CONTROL:
VOLUME
Sets the overall output volume of the
pedal. Ranges from no sound to
maximum volume.
NOTE: To access this control, unscrew
the 4 screws on the back of the pedal.
