Transport
When transporting (unloading and moving) and install-
ing the machine ensure that it does not fall down or
turn over. There is danger of injury, and the device can
be damaged.
The machine is very heavy. Danger of injury when lifting
the appliance.
Do not lift the appliance by its protruding components!
Tilt the device to the right:
Maximum 45° tilt permitted

The device may be laid carefully
on the left side area.
Tilt the device forward:
Maximum 45° tilt permitted
After each transport, the device must be left idle for
10 minutes before it may be switched on.
Dispose of the packing material correctly and do not keep
it. Playing children might get hold of it and be exposed to
danger (e.g. risk of suffocation with the sheeting).
Installing the appliance
To guarantee optimum performance, the dryer must be
installed in a room that is adequately ventilated. Do not
install the dryer in an enclosed area (such as a closet with
a solid door) or in any area without open windows, air
vents, air conditioning, doors with ventilation slots or any
other means of fresh air circulation (room volume >50m3).
When installing and connecting the appliance, the
fol lowing safety instructions, warnings, general
in structions and possible particular instructions of the
responsible water and electric power stations are to be
observed.
Operating temperature: 5 to 35°C.
In cases of doubt, have the installation carried out by a
specialist.
Do not plug in a machine with visible damage.
Lay hoses and cables in such a way that they do not
represent a risk of tripping.
The machine must not be mounted and operated out-
doors (e.g. balcony). Otherwise risk of short circuit and/
or risk of re.
The machine must not be placed behind a lockable door,
a sliding door or a door with a hinge which is opposite
the drum dryer.
Installation area
In order to ensure the stability of the appliance, the
installation area must be rm and level. Soft oor cover-
ings, e.g. tted carpets or coverings with a foamed
material backing are not suitable as an installation area.
Keep the area surrounding the dryer free of dust and uff.
Do not obstruct the ventilation grille at the bottom of
the front of the appliance, otherwise sufcient ow of
cooling air cannot be guaranteed.
During the drying process take care to ensure that the
room is well ventilated (open windows or the door,
unclosable ventilation openings in the walls or doors).
If the dryer cannot get enough fresh, cool air and instead
begins to circulate warm air, its performance might de-
crease
noticeably!
The minimum distance between the machine and the
wall or possibly another machine is 1cm.
X When installing the appliance, take note of the required
dimensions.
