Application Tips

• Avoid towing the spreader with the

ow plate closed when using granular

material. A closed ow plate could

causetherotatingagitatortoreducethe

materialtopowder,compactingitatthe

bottomofthehopper.

• Start with a low ow setting until you

determinethesettingthatisbest.

• Theowsettingshouldbereducedfor

speedsbelow5km/handincreasedfor

speedsabove5km/h.

• Toavoidmissesorstriping,overlapthe

previouswheeltracksbyapproximately

10cmto13cm.Thespreadwidthofthe

spreaderisapproximately107cm.

• Maketwoor threepasses acrossboth

ends of the area. Then apply material

backandforthas shown.Use theend

areasforturningaround,shuttingoffthe

spreaderasyouentertheendareasand

turning on the spreader as you leave.

• If the lawn is odd shaped, spread a

border around the edges and then

spreadbetweentheborders.

• Avoid getting weed control chemicals

on ornamental plants. Weed control

chemicalscandamagetheseplants.

Maintenance

• Always empty the spreader after each

use, storing leftover material in it's

originalbag.

• Washthe spreaderand drythoroughly

aftereachuse.

• Apply a few drops of oil to all moving

parts.

• Check all nuts and bolts for tightness

beforeeachuse.

• Keeptiresinatedfrom.83to.97bar.

Operation

• Refer to the instruction label on the

materialpackageandtotheinstruction

decal on your spreader to help

determine the proper spreader setting

and application rate. Also see the

• Adjusttheowcontrolgauge(2)tothe

recommendedsetting.Seegure9.

• Determine the approximate area to be

covered and estimate the amount of

fertilizer or seed required.

• Movethespreadertothestartingpoint.

• Making sure the ow control arm (4)

isinthe"OFF"position,llthehopper,

breakingupanylumps.
