TWO MONOBLOCK AMPLIFIERS BRIDGED
FOR SUPER-HIGH POWER
This application makes Amplifier A the Master Amplifier and Amplifier B the Slave Amplifier. The Master Amplifier handles all the processing
and level control adjustments, and its Line Output feeds an "anti-phase" signal to Amplifier B Direct Input. Amplifier B is configured as a
pure power amplifier, bypassing all preamplifier functions.
Input connections
Amplifier A: signal inputs are fed to Amplifier A. Choose either the set of 2 inputs or the Direct/Mono input if a single mono source is available.
The mode switch MUST BE in the "OFF" position.
Amplifier B: Use the inverted LINE OUTPUT from Amplifier A to feed Amplifier B MONO-DIRECT INPUT. In this application. Amplifier
B 2 Inputs MUST NOT BE USED for anything. The Mode switch MUST be set in the ON position.
Speaker connections
Since Amplifier A is the Master, its speaker output (+) is POSITIVE PHASE; Amplifier B speaker output (+) will thus be NEGATIVE PHASE.
Connect the speaker system as shown in the diagram above, with the SPEAKER POSITIVE(+) connection to Amplifier A Speaker (+) connector,
and the SPEAKER NEGATIVE (-) connection to the Amplifier B Speaker (+) connector.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! The Negative(-) Speaker Output of Amplifier A must be connected to the Negative (-) Speaker of Amplifier
B, using two pieces of #12 wire as shown in the diagram. Be sure to keep these wires as short as possible.
IMPORTANT! ! IN THIS BRIDGED MODE, MINIMUM SPEAKER IMPEDANCE IS 2 OHMS!
Amplifier A setting
Set the High Pass Crossover Frequency control to suit the subwoofer used. This rolls off all very low frequency signals that may damage
your woofers at high power levels.
Set the Low Pass Crossover Frequency, Bass Boost, Phase Shift and Input Level controls to suit the setup.
Amplifier B Settings
Set the Mode switch to the "ON" position. All other controls do not work under this setting, and the amplifier behaves as a slave, simply
amplifying the inverted Line Out from Amplifier A in an inverted mode for correct bridged operation of the amplifier pair.
