1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing this product.
ThisproductcomplieswiththestatutorynationalandEuropeanrequirements.
To maintain this status and to ensure safe operation, you as the user must observe
these operating instructions!
These operating instructions are part of this product. They contain important
notes on commissioning and handling. Also consider this if you pass on the
product to any third party.
Therefore, retain these operating instructions for reference!

2. Intended use
The product is intended for controlling a variety of LED spots (RGB/RGBW, RGBD,
RGBWD, DRGB, DRGBW).
Power is supplied via the included power adapter.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may
bedamaged.Inaddition,improperusecancausehazardssuchasshortcircuiting,re,
electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product
available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

6. Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the
warranty/guarantee.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may
become dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts,
highhumidity,moisture,ammablegases,vapoursandsolvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of
operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no
longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low
height can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices
which are connected to the product.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily
accessible.
• As power supply, only use the supplied mains adapter.

• Only connect the power adapter to a normal mains socket connected to
the public supply. Before plugging in the power adapter, check whether
the voltage stated on the power adapter complies with the voltage of your
electricity supplier.
• Never connect or disconnect power adapters if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the
cable; always use the grips on the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched,
kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in
them. This poses a risk of injury.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power adapter from the mains socket
during storms.
• If the power adapter is visibly damaged, do not touch it. Risk of fatal injury
duetoelectricshock!Firstturnothepowersupplytothepoweroutlet
thatthepoweradapterisconnectedto(ipothefuseandthenturnothe
residual current operated circuit breaker to disconnect the power outlet at
all phases). Now unplug the device from the power outlet. Dispose of the
power adapter in an environmentally friendly fashion, discontinue use of it
immediately. Replace it with an identical power adapter.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold
room into a warm one. The condensation generated could destroy the
product. The plug-in power supply unit also involves danger to life by electric
shock! Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting and
using it. This may take several hours.
• Never pour liquids over electric devices and never place liquid-lled
objectsnearthedevice.Ifliquidoranobjectenterstheinteriorofthedevice
nevertheless,rstpowerdowntherespectivesocket(e.g.switchocircuit
breaker) and then pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Do not operate
the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.

• All persons operating, installing, setting up or starting up this product must
beproperlytrainedorqualiedandobservetheseoperatinginstructions.
• Theuseofelectricaldevicesmustbesupervisedbytrainedstainschools,
training centers, hobby and do-it-yourself workshops.
• In industrial facilities, heed all applicable accident prevention regulations
forelectricalinstallationsandequipment.
• The product features a protection class III design. Use this product with a
suitable transformer only.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of
the device.
• Maintenance,modicationsandrepairsaretobeperformedexclusivelyby
anexpertorataqualiedshop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating
instructions, contact our technical support service or other technical
personnel.

8. Operation
a) Positioning / mounting
Ensuresucientventilation.
Do not place the product on soft surfaces (carpets, beds, etc.).
The air circulation must not be impeded by objects such as newspapers, tablecloths,
curtains, etc. Those could prevent heat dissipation from the product and cause
overheating(riskofre).
Do not drill any holes into the housing and do not screw any bolts onto the housing.
Thatcoulddamagetheproductandaectsafeoperation.
When installing the product, ensure secure standing and a stable surface.
If the product falls down there is a risk of injury.
Wheninstallingtheproduct,makesuretheconnectioncablescannotgetsqueezed
or damaged by sharp edges.
Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This
poses a risk of injury.
Theremustbenodeviceswithstrongelectricormagneticeldssuchastransformers,
engines,wirelessphones,radioequipmentetc.belocatedinnearbyproximity,as
thesecouldaecttheoperationoftheproduct.
Never place the product on valuable or sensitive furniture surfaces without using
sucientprotection.
Place the product on a level surface.
If needed, the product can be attached to a rack.

b) Connecting the light eects
The product is only intended for connection to DMX devices with DMX-512
protocol.
The controller supports the operation of a maximum of 32 devices in a DMX
chain or otherwise will be overloaded.
The DMX chain should not exceed a maximum length of 200 m.
The use of XLR microphone cables can interfere with the DMX signal
transmission. If such is the case, use special DMX high frequency cables.
ConnecttheDMXconnector(11)totheinputoftherstDMXlighteect.
ConnecttheDMXoutputoftherstDMXlighteecttotheDMXinputofthenext
DMXlighteect.
Proceedasdescribedaboveforallremaininglighteects.
ConnectanXLRplugwithterminator(120Ω/0.25W)totheDMXoutputofthelast
device in the DMX chain between pin 2 and pin 3.

c) Connecting to the mains
Make sure the product is switched o before connecting to the mains. The
on/o switch must be on O (OFF) position.
Connect the barrel connector of the power adapter to the power jack (12) on the
back of the product.
Connect the power adapter to a wall socket.
Switchontheproduct.Theon/oswitchmustbeonI(ON)position.
Switchotheproductwhennotinuse.Ifnotusingtheproductforalonger
period of time, disconnect the power adapter from the wall socket.
9. Settings
a) Mode selection
Firstselectoneofthefollowing6modesdependingonthelighteectsconnected.To
do so, press the Channel mode button (2) until the respective LED lights up.

b) Selecting the DMX address group
Use the buttons for DMX address group determination (10) to select the desired DMX
address group.

c) Manual setup of color eects
Use the R, G, B, W/Dfaders(1)tomanuallysetthedesiredcoloreect.
The W/D fader is without function in RGB mode.
d) Color mix
Use the MIXfader(3)tocontinuouslyselectdierentcolormixeects.Thescalenext
to the fader shows the current mixing ratio.

e) Built-in programs
The product features 8 built-in programs that can be selected by using the MACfader(4).

f) Auto control / sound-to-light control
Use the Run mode button (9) to select the desired type of control.
During auto control, you may use the Speed fader (5) to adjust the speed.
During sound-to-light control, you may use the Sound Sensitivity fader (6) to adjust
the sensitivity.
g) Stroboscope mode
Press and hold the Strobe button (7) to enter the stroboscope mode.
When in stroboscope mode, use the STROBE SPEED fader(6)toadjustthefrequency
(1–20Hz).
Release the Strobe button to return to normal mode.

h) Blackout
Press the BLACK OUT button (8) to set the connected devices to blackout mode.
10. Troubleshooting
The DMX controller features a state-of-the art design and is safe to operate.
Nonetheless, errors and malfunctions may occur. Please review the following for
information on troubleshooting should problems occur.
No function, although the on/o switch (13) is on I position.
The power adapter is not properly connected to the wall socket.
The barrel connector of the power adapter is not properly connected to the power
jack (12).
No power supply at the wall socket.
Connected light eects are without function.
The blackout mode has been activated.
The DMX addresses are not set correctly.
The connection between the product and the connected light eects has been
disconnected.
The DMX cable is too long or subject to interferences. Use a special DMX high-
frequencycable.
Sound-to-light control does not work.
The sound-to-light control has been deactivated. Press the Run mode button (9). The
SOUND LED must light up.
The volume for music playback is too low. Try to use a higher volume setting.

11. Maintenance and cleaning
Before cleaning, disconnect the product from the connected devices and unplug it
from the power outlet.
There are no components located inside the product you need to maintain. Never
open/dismantle the product.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
Tocleantheproduct,adry,softandcleanclothissucient.Donotapplytoomuch
pressure to the housing as this may cause scratch marks.
You can easily remove dust using a long-haired, soft and clean brush.
12. Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.

environment.
