GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to heed warnings and follow instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

The term “power tool” in the safety warnings refers to your mains operated (corded) power tool or battery-
operated (cordless) power tool.
2.0 BEFORE USE
Remove any packing material and loose parts from unit.
Check the accessories before use. It should be fit with the machine and your purpose.
If the machine is new, the battery must first be charged.
Attention! After long time storage, the battery capacity will be reduce.
A new battery or one which has not been used for an extended period achieves full performance only
after charging and discharging cycles. A substantial drop in operating period per charge indicates that the
battery is worn out and must be replaced.
2.1 WORKING AREA
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2.2 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
• Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed
power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of an electric shock.

• Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, kitchen ranges and refrigerators. There is an
increased risk of an electric shock if your body is earthed.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. If water gets inside a power tool, it will increase the risk of an
electric shock.
• Do not damage the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep the cord away
from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of an electric shock.
• When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cable suitable for outdoor use. Using a cord suitable for
outdoor use reduces the risk of an electric shock.
• If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a power supply protected by a residual current
device (RCD). Using an RCD reduces the risk of an electric shock.
2.3 PERSONAL SAFETY
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool
when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention when operating
a power tool may result in serious personal injury.
• Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Using safety equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes, a hard hat, or hearing protection whenever it is needed will reduce the risk of personal injury.
• Avoid accidental starts. Ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting the plug. Carrying power tools with
your finger on the switch or plugging in power tools when the switch is in the on position makes accidents
more likely.
• Remove any adjusting keys or spanners before turning on the power tool. A spanner or key left attached to a
rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
• Do not reach out too far. Keep your feet firmly on the ground at all times. This will enable you retain control over the
power tool in unexpected situations.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from the power
tool. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can become entangled in the moving parts..
• If there are devices for connecting dust extraction and collection facilities, please ensure that they are attached and
used correctly. Using such devices can reduce dust-related hazards.
2.4 POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
• Do not expect the power tool to do more than it can. Use the correct power tool for what you want to do. A power
tool will achieve better results and be safer if used in the context for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch cannot turn it on and off. A power tool with a broken switch is dangerous and
must be repaired.
• Disconnect the plug from the power source before making adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power
tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
• Store power tools, when not in use, out of the reach of children and do not allow people who are not familiar with

the power tool or these instructions to operate it. Power tools are potentially dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
• Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or jammed moving parts, breakages or any other feature that might
affect the operation of the power tool. If it is damaged, the power tool must be repaired. Many accidents are caused
by using poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam
and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and cutting tools, etc., in accordance with these instructions and in the manner
intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work which needs
to be done. Using a power tool in ways for which it was not intended can lead to potentially hazardous situations.
2.5 SERVICE
Your power tool should be serviced by a qualified specialist using only standard spare parts. This will
ensure that it meets the required safety standards.
a) Use only the manufacturer’s recommended replacement parts and accessories.
b) Inspect and maintain the machine regularly. Have the machine repaired only by an authorized repairer.
c) When not in use, store the machine out of the reach of children.
Special safety instructions for Multi Tool
The machine is intended for sanding, sawing, scraping and cutting on wood, plasterboard, soft plastics
and metals.
WARNING. Contact with or inhalation of harmful / toxic dusts arising from sanding lead-based painted
surfaces, woods and metals can endanger the health of operator and bystanders.
1. All persons entering the work area must wear an approved mask specially designed for protection against harmful
/ toxic dusts, in addition to using the dust extraction facility, and keeping work area well ventilated.
2. Children and pregnant women must not enter the work area.
3. Do not eat, drink or smoke in the work area.
4. Any pre 1960 building may have paint containing lead on wood or metal surfaces. If you suspect workpiece
contains lead seek professional advice.
5. Some wood and wood type products especially MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) can produce dust that can be
hazardous to your health. We recommend the use of an approved face mask with replaceable filters when using
this machine in addition to using the dust extraction facility.
6. This tool is designed for single handed operation. Adopt a stable distance and make sure that the mains cable
is prevented from coming into contact with the machine or getting caught up on other objects preventing
completion of the sanding pass.

7. Ensure that you have removed foreign objects such as nails and screws from the workpiece before
commencing sanding.
8. Don’t use it for wet sanding, for dry sanding only.
9. Do not scrape wet or dampened materials (e.g. wallpaper) or on moist surfaces. Penetration of water into the
machine increases the risk of an electric shock.
10. Hold power tools by their insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool may
contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a “live” wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool “live”
and shock the operator.
11. Where possible, secure smaller workpieces to prevent them from moving under the tool.
12. Do not force the tool; let the tool do the work at a reasonable speed. Overloading will occur if too much pressure is
applied and the motor slows resulting in inefficient sanding and possible damage to the motor.
13. Only use application accessories in good condition. Do not use them if they are torn or worn.
14. Do not touch the moving sanding sheet.
15. Do not treat the surface to be worked with solvent-containing fluids. Materials being heated by the scraping can
cause toxic vapors to develop.
16. Exercise extreme caution when handling the scraper accessory. The accessory is very sharp; danger of injury.
17. Keep your hands away from the cutting area. Do not reach under the material being cut. The tool must be used
only for its prescribed purpose. Any use other than those mentioned in this Manual will be considered a case of
misuse. The user and not the manufacturer shall be liable for any damage or injury resulting from such cases
of misuse.
To use this tool properly, you must observe the safety regulations, the assembly instructions and the
operating instructions to be found in this Manual. All persons who use and service the machine have to be
acquainted with this Manual and must be informed about its potential hazards. Children and frail people
must not use this tool. Children should be supervised at all times if they are in the area in which the tool is
being used. It is also imperative that you observe the accident prevention regulations in force in your area.
The same applies for general rules of occupational health and safety. The manufacturer shall not be liable
for any changes made to the tool nor for any damage resulting from such changes. Even when the tool is
used as prescribed it is not possible to eliminate all residual risk factors. The following hazards may arise
in connection with the tool’s construction and design:
• Damage to the lungs if an effective dust mask is not worn.
• Damage to hearing if effective hearing protection is not worn.
• Hand-arm vibration syndrome if its use is not adequately managed.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR BATTERIES AND CHARGERS
Use only batteries and chargers applicable for this machine.
4.1 BATTERIES
• Never attempt to open for any reason.
• Do not store in locations where the temperature may exceed 40 °C.
• Charge only at ambient temperatures between 4 °C and 40 °C.
• When disposing of batteries, follow the instructions given in the section “Protecting the environment”.
• Do not cause short circuits. If connection is made between the positive (+) and negative (-) terminal directly or via
accidental contact with metallic objects, the battery is short circuited and an intense current will flow causing heat
generation which may lead to casing rupture or fire.
• Do not heat. If batteries are heated to above 100 °C, sealing and insulating separators and other polymer
components may be damaged resulting in electrolyte leakage and/or internal short circuiting leading to heat
generation causing rupture or file. Moreover do not dispose of the batteries in fire, explosion and/or intense burning
may result.
• Under extreme conditions, battery leakage may occur. When you notice liquid on the battery, proceed as follows:
• Carefully wipe the liquid off using a cloth. Avoid skin contact.
• In case of skin or eye contact, follow the instructions below:
1. Immediately rinse with water. Neutralize with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar.
2. In case of eye contact, rinse abundantly with clean water for at least 10 minutes.
3. Consult a physician.
Fire hazard! Avoid short-circuiting the contacts of a detached battery. Do not incinerate the battery.
4.2 CHARGERS
• Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Have defective cords replaced immediately.
• Do not expose to water.
• Do not open the charger.
• Do not probe the charger.
• The charger is intended for indoor use only.

OPERATION
BATTERY CHARGER
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time and will not develop a “memory” when charged after
only a partial discharge. It is not necessary to run down the battery pack charge before recharging. Remove
the battery pack from the tool when convenient for you and your job. You can “top-off” your battery pack’s
charge before starting a big job or long period of use.
Due to lithium-ion’s fade-free properties, the only time it is necessary to charge the lithium-ion battery
pack is when the pack has reached the end of its charge. To signal the end of charge, power to the tool will
drop quickly. Charge the battery pack as needed.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
This lithium-ion battery pack is shipped partially charged. Before using it the first time, fully charge the
battery pack. A fully discharged 2.0Ah battery pack with a temperature between 4°C and 40°C will charge
in about 1 hour.
Plug the charger adapter into power source. The green light on the charger stand will illuminate, indicating
the charger is powered.
Slide the battery all the way into the charger stand.The red light on the charger stand will illuminate,
indicating that the battery is charging.
The red light will go off after charging is complete and a green light will appear.
NOTE: Batteries may become warm while charging. This is normal. If the battery is hot after continuous
use in the tool, allow it to cool down to room temperature before charging. This will extend the life of
your batteries.
WARNING: Always disconnect the battery pack from the tool before any assembly, adjustments or
changing accessories.
INSERTION AND REMOVAL OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
Depress the battery-release button located on the front of the battery pack to release battery pack.
Pull the battery pack out and remove it from the tool.
WARNING: Always remove the battery pack before making adjustments to the equipment.
Be sure to read the following information before you put the cordless equipment into operation:
Charge the battery pack with the charger. An empty 2.0Ah battery pack requires a charging period of
approximately 0.5 to 1 hour.

FUNCTIONS
ATTACHING THE APPLICATION TOOL
CAUTION: For all work or when changing application tools,
disconnect the battery pack from power tool and always wear
protective gloves. The sharp edges of the application tools
will cause personal injury. Application tools can be very hot
while working.
WARNING: Check that the application tools are correctly
attached. Incorrect or insecurely fastened application tools can
come loose during operation and cause a hazard.
1. Switch off & disconnect the tool from the power source.
2. Turn over the quick-release lever until to be horizontal
3. Put the accessory onto the attachment plate.
4. Turn the quick-release lever back to lock the drive shaft.
NOTE: Attach the application tool at the desired orientation for the
task at hand. The shaft is configured so that the application tool can be
attached every 30°around the shaft, from 0°to 330°
MOUNTING/CHANGING THE SAND PAPER
1. Follow the directions for attaching the application tool to attach the
sanding base to the multi tool.
2. Align the sand paper with the sanding base and use your hand to
press it firmly on the sanding base.
3. Press the sand paper firmly against a smooth surface for a short

period, and then switch on the tool. The burr will form a non-slip bond with the outer edge of the sand
paper felt. This will avoid premature wear. If one point has become worn, pull off the sandpaper, turn it
120° and place it on again.
VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL
The variable speed feature of this tool enables the speed to be adjusted
according to the accessory being used and material being cut, scrapped or
sanded. The speed dial is numbered “1” through “6”, with position “1” being
the lowest speed and position “6” being the highest speed.
SWITCH ON AND OFF
To turn the tool ON, push the on/off switch forward. To turn it OFF, push the
switch backward.
OPERATION FOR WORKING
Do not touch the gear box after prolonged use; it could be very hot.
The removal rate and the sanding pattern are determined by the choice of
sanding sheet and the work surface. Apply uniform sanding pressure to
extend the life of the sanding sheets.
• Intensifying the sanding pressure does not lead to an increase of the sanding capacity, but instead it increases wear
on the machine and the sanding sheet.
• Use only the tip or an edge of the sanding sheet for precise sanding of edges, corners and hard to reach areas.
• When selectively sanding on one spot, the sanding sheet can heat up considerably. Remove the tool from the
surface periodically to permit the sanding sheet to cool down.
• A sanding sheet that has been used for metal should not be used for other materials.
• Use only original sanding accessories. For sanding, always connect dust extraction.
B. SCRAPING
The tool is suitable for scrapping and removing surface coverings. For scraping, select a high speed setting.
• To remove surface covers, place the scraping blade vertically on the work piece.
• Switch the tool on and cut down through the covering.
• Place the tool at a flat angle (not over 20°) and apply alight forward pressure to remove the covering.
C. CUTTING
Saw blades are ideal for making precise cuts in tight areas, close to edges or flush to a surface.
• Select the lowest speed for making initial plunge, start off at lowest speed for increased control. After making your
initial cut, you can increase speed for faster cutting ability.

• Flush cutting blades are intended to make precise cuts to allow for installation of flooring or wall material. When
flush cutting, it is important not to force the tool during the plunge cut. If you experience a strong vibration in your
hand during the plunge cut, this indicates that you are applying too much pressure. Back the tool out and let the
speed of the tool do the work. While keeping the teeth of the blade in the work surface, move the back of the tool in
a slow sideways motion. This motion will help expedite the cut.
• The flat saw blade is ideal for making precise cuts in wood, plaster, drywall material.
• Applications include cutting openings in flooring for venting, repairing damaged flooring, cutting openings for
electrical boxes. The blade works best on softer woods such as pine. For harder woods, the blade life will be limited.
• The flat saw blade can also be used for window restoration making glazing easy to remove. The saw blade can be
placed directly against the edge of the window frame, guiding the blade through the glazing.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
DANGER! Always pull out the mains power plug before startingany cleaning work.
CLEANING
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the
equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or
solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the
device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.
MAINTENANCE
There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.
STORING
Store the machine, operating instructions and where necessary the accessories in the original packaging.
In this way you will always have all the information and parts ready to hand.
Pack the device well or use the original packaging in order to avoid transit damage.
Always keep the machine in dry place.
