JOBE BIMINI TOP

JOBE BIMINI TOP is a device designed to be mounted on a boat tower to provide shade from the sun. It features a sturdy anodized aluminum frame and a durable Sunbrella® top. The top is available in two sizes: medium (137cm wide) and large (157cm wide). The frame is adjustable to accommodate different tower widths and can be folded for easy storage. Operating under the theory that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of headaches.

Note that this installation guide is only a guideline. Each boat is dierent and improvisation is needed to mount your Addict bimini on your tower.

We advise you to have your Bimini mounted by a professional who has experience in boatconstructions and mounting towers.

Unpack the carton, there will be 13 frame sections and mount set:

Prior to assembly, make sure all the required parts are present.

Step 1

Mount the 4 clamps on the tower as pictured. Snug the bolt but do not fully tighten at this time.

This position of the mounts is just a starting position and must be adjusted later for a perfect t of the bimini.

The clamp should be mounted with the M6 loop on the inside of the boat. Note to use the FL as a front mount on

the left side, RL as rear mount left side, FR as a front mount on the right side, RL as rear mount right side.

Make sure to use the rubber rings to prevent scratching the tower

Step2

Assemble the frame as pictured below:

TIP: You can use Loctite® to prevent the small screws (1) from loosening up during use.

Frequently check/tighten the screws before use.

To assemble the (size M) Bimini top, please use B&D holes.

The with of the Bimini is 137cm measured on the top.

You can make the Bimini top 10cm smaller by using holes C&D.

To assemble the (size L) Bimini top, please use A&E holes.

The with of the Bimini is 157cm measured on the top.

You can make the Bimini top 10cm smaller by using holes B&E.

Other combinations are not recommended as the Sunbrella® top

will not t the frame anymore.

Step 3

Pick your partly assembled frame up with 2 persons and attach the front legs (A) on the mounts you already installed on the tower.

After mounting (A) you can mount (B).

Note to fold the the upper bar to the front. this makes the assembly of the Sunbrella® top easier.

Step 4

Connect the last part on the frame (C)

Step 5

You are ready to cover the frame with the Sunbrella® Top.

Note to have the red Jobe label facing the front of the boat.

Zip the Sunbrella® Top around the pipes 1, 2 and 3.

Use the nylon straps to tighten the Sunbrella® top from point 4 to A (See drawing)

Step 6

Now it is time to adjust the bimini so that it is not crooked anymore.

You can do this by moving the mounts a bit. One person can stand in the nose of the boat and give instructions to the other person who is adjusting the

mounts.

Tighten all hardware for completion of bimini installation.

How to fold the Bimini

I. Disconnect frame piece (IV) from Mount (B)

II. Lower the frame

III. Fold back (2) and (3)

IV. Attach Frame piece (IV) the Mount (B) again

V. Loosen point C so it can slide to the back to alline the other bars (VI)

VI. Place the cover over the folded Sunbrella® top and close the cover with the zipper.

Care and Maintenance

I. Be sure to check and tighten all fasteners and connections prior to every use.

II. Be cautious when towing or driving under obstacles, low hanging structures or trees with your bimini on.

III. Use soap and water or general cleaners to clean your bimini. Avoid abrasive materials that might scratch the bimini’s nish.

IV. Always rinse bimini after contact with salt (brackish) water.

Jobe Sports Europe warrants this product (not including other 3rd party accessories) against manufacturers defects. Anodizing and powder coated surfaces as

well as all hardware corrosion are specically excluded as their care and use cannot be controlled by Jobe Sports Europe. Any modications or improper use shall

void this warranty. Jobe Sports Europe is not responsible for personal injury or damage to the boat caused by the use of this tower. JOBE’s obligation under

this warranty shall not include any transportation charges or costs of installation or any liability for direct, indirect or consequential damages resulting from

delay or improper installation. No dealer, retailer or manufacturer is the agent of Jobe Sports Europe and may not assume for Jobe Sports Europe any liability in

connection with this warranty. This warranty is in lieu of all.
