When replacing a standard nozzle with an extended
tapered nozzle, it is preferable to replace the conduit
liner and trim it to 30 mm (1.2 inch) trim length proud of
the conductor tube sleeve. This will support the electrode
wire and provide the optimum feeding solution. However,
some users may nd this inconvenient and want to keep
their standard trim 10 mm (3/8 inch) in place to allow
for multiple exchanges between a standard nozzle
verses a tapered. In this case, a brass sleeve or ‘snoot’
has been provided. Now you can replace a standard
nozzle without extending conduit liner to 1.2 inches by
the addition of a snoot placed over the conduit liner and
under the tip.

Changing to an Extended Taper Nozzle.
1. Remove standard nozzle and tip from copper
conductor tube.
2. Slide snoot over exposed conduit liner end.
3. Slide extended tip over snoot.
4. Engage extended taper nozzle and tighten by hand
to secure the contact tip and snoot in place.
