Before You Begin
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the main water supply.
Carefully inspect the waste and supply tubing for any sign of
damage.
Replace waste or supply tubing if necessary.
For new installations, install the faucet before installing the
lavatory.
Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions in the design of
faucets without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

1. Spout Installation
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the spout or putty ring (if supplied) according to the putty
manufacturer’s instructions.
Locate the center hole and insert the spout.
Slide the metal washer and nut onto the spout shank.
Position the metal washer so the second hole is at the back of the
spout.
Securely tighten the nut with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.

2. Rigid Supply Tee Installation
Insert the plastic gasket and the rubber washer into the top of the
supply sleeve.
Slide the metal washer onto the spout shank.
Thread the shank nut up onto the spout approximately 1 (2.5
cm).
Thread the supply tee to the spout shank until it is hand tight.
Tighten the hex-end of the supply tee with a wrench. Ensure that
the tubes are aligned to the sides. Do not overtighten.
Slide the metal washer down the shank to the rigid supply sleeve.
Thread the shank nut down to the washer. Securely tighten with
a wrench. Do not overtighten.

3. Handle Valve Installation
Thread a locknut onto each valve body. The flat surface of the
locknut should face up towards the lavatory.
Slide a fiber washer onto each locknut.
NOTE: The valve body marked Cold (with blue lettered tape
attached to the tube) should be installed to the right of the faucet.
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the escutcheons according to the putty manufacturer’s
instructions.
From the underside of the lavatory, insert the Cold and Hot
valve bodies into the mounting holes.
From the top of the lavatory, thread an escutcheon onto each
valve until hand tight.
Slide a compression nut and ferrule onto each supply tee inlet
tube.
Align the end bodies so the supply tubes fit evenly into the valve
body outlets.
Tighten the compression nuts from the supply tubes to the valve
body outlets.
While holding the valve bodies in place, securely tighten the
locknuts with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.

Handle Valve Installation (cont.)
Install the handles according to manufacturer’s instructions.

4. Supply Connections
Install the lavatory using the lavatory manufacturer’s instructions.
Connect the supply tubes to the handle valves, and the supply
stops. Left is hot and right is cold.
Tighten all connections.

5. Installation Checkout
Connect the tailpiece and P-trap (as needed).
Install strainer bodies (as needed).
Ensure that all connections are tight.
Remove the aerator by turning it counterclockwise.
Open the drain.
Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks. Repair as
needed.
Open both hot and cold valves and run water through the spout
for about a minute to remove debris. Check for leaks. Turn valves
off.
Remove any debris from the aerator and reinstall.
