* Heat: Thermostat controls only the heating
system.
.Cool: Thermostat controls only the cooling
system.
* Auto: Thermostat automatically selects
heating or cooling depending on the indoor
temperature.
o Off: Heat and Cool are off.
.Em Heat (only for heat pumps with auxiliary
heat): Thermostat controls Emergency and
Auxiliary Heat. Compressor is looked out.
Note: The Auto and Em Heat system settings
may not appear, depending on how your
thermostat was installed.

Note: When set to Off, the fan may operate
depending on the fan setting.

On: Fan is always on.
Auto= Fan runs only when the heating
or cooling system is on.
LO: low fan speed
MED: medium fan speed
Hi: high fan speed
Display shows the fan blade symbol #t
next to FAN when the thermostat has the
fan turned on.
Occupied Mode-Fan control is On. Move
fan to Auto to turn off the fan.
Unoccupied Mode-Fan control is the
same as with the Auto setting, this is true
even when the display indicates "On".

The thermostat can control up to four different schedule periods per day:
Occupiedl-Work arrival time. Period to keep space at a comfortable
temperature.
Unoccl-Work exit time. Period to keep space at an energy-saving temperature.
• Occupied2-Second occupied period.
• Unocc2-Second unoccupied period.
NOTES:
* Available schedule times are at 15-minute intervals.
* With default settings, all four periods can be programmed. This can be
changed to allow only Occupied1 and Unoool programs. To use only
Occupied1 and Unoocl, see Step 8 in the Advanced Settings section.

5. Press NEXT,then A or V to set Cool
temperature for this time period.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 to program other
time periods (OCCUP|ED2, UNOCCI,
UNOCC2), then press DONE.
7. Repeat steps 1-6 to program any
remaining days. (Press A or y until
the desired day is flashing, then press
SELECTDAY.)

Note: If HEAT and COOL both flash, your
temporary setting will automatically
adjust the cooling and heating set-
tings to maintain separation between
the cool and heat settings.
1. Press A or Y to immediately adjust
the temperature. This will temporarily
override the temperature setting for the
current time period.
2. Press NEXT.
3. Press A or Y to adjust time
4. Press DONE to save setting.
5. Thenewtemperaturewill be maintained only
untit the time you set.
Note: The length of time to be able to override
beyond the current time is limited from 1-12
hours.
6. To cancel the temporarily Hold Untit
setting at any time, press CANCEL.

setting

nated number of days.
1, Press MORE.
2. Press HOLIDAY. The temperature on the
screen flashes.
3, Use the Up and Down keys to change
the desired temperature for the
duration of the holiday.
4, Press NEXT. The screen shows "Hold
_ _ Until 1 Days". The number flashes.

Looked When the thermostat displays "Looked", key con-
trol is either fully or partially looked.

Fully Locked Keys
in this mode, all keys are locked. The screen con-
tinuously displays "Locked".

Partially Locked Screen
Pressing a locked key prompts the screen to indi=
care "Locked."

Holiday and Override options are available in all partial lockout levels.
Selecting HOLIDAY sets the temperature to the Unoccupied setting. The
temperature setting cannot be changed. The number of days to hold the holiday
can be changed. After this time, the next Occupied period switches back to the
program settings.
Selecting OVERRIDE sets the temperature to the Occupied setting. The
temperature setting cannot be changed. The period of time to hold the override
can be changed. After this time, the next Unoccupied period switches back to
the program settings.
To cancel the temperature override and follow the programmed schedule, press
CANCEL.

PARTIAL LOCKOUT 1The temporary temperature change
This mode locks out schedule and sys-
tem changes.
User can change the temperature
setpoint and fan settings, but
cannot change schedule or system
settings.
The temporary changes last until
next scheduled period. The screen
displays that time.
PARTIAL LOCKOUT 2
This mode locks out schedule, system,
and fan changes.
User can change the temperature
setpoint, but cannot change
schedule, system, or fan settings.
lasts until next scheduled period.
The screen displays that time.
PARTIAL LOCKOUT 3
This mode locks out schedule, system,
fan, and temperature setpoint settings:
Users cannot make changes to the
temperature setpoint or any schedule,
system, or fan settings.
The only features available are
HOLIDAYand OVERRIDE.

Batteries are optional (to provide
backup power) if your thermostat
was wired to run on AC power
when installed.
Install fresh batteries immediately
when the L0 BATT warning begins
flashing. The warning flashes
about 30 days before batteries are
depleted.
Even if the warning does not
appear, you should replace batter-
ies once a year, or before leaving
home for more than a month.

1. Press SYSTEM & FAN.
2. Press and hold FAN for approximately
five seconds, until the screen changes.
3. Press NEXT to change the function
and use the A and T to change the
settings.
