LONG BED CONFIGURATION
SHORT BED CONFIGURATION
EXTENSION PLATE CONFIGURATIONS
1. Install Extension Plates to Receiver Assembly in proper configuration for bed length. Secure using 7/16" bolts,
lock washers, and hex nuts.
2. Temporarily remove spare tire for ease of installation.
3. Remove plastic fasteners holding wire loom to frame, bumper brackets and bumper cross member.
4. Compress and push up plastic tabs holding bumper cover to bumper.
5. 2500/3500 Models only: Remove lower rear 14mm bolt that fastens U-shaped bumper bracket to frame on both
sides. Save hardware for use in Step 7.
6. Raise hitch into position and install 5/8" bolts and CM-15515-SB (2 11/16" long) bushings through slot in frame
rails.
7. Reinstall 14mm bolts from Step 5 if installing on 2500/3500 models, or install supplied 9/16" and CM-15515-LB
(2 7/8" long) bushings through bumper brackets.
8. Install 1/2" bolts through mounting plate and slot in bumper bracket.
9. Install 5/8" flat head screws under bumper cover and through bumper into bumper mount of hitch.
10. Torque 1/2" hardware to 75 lb-ft, 9/16" hardware to 110 lb-ft, 5/8" hardware to 150 lb-ft, 7/16" hardware to 50 lb-ft,
and 14mm hardware to 54 lb-ft.
11. Reattach wire loom removed in Step 3.
12. Reinstall spare tire. Be sure to keep clearance away from hitch, differential, brake lines and vent hoses.
13. Reinstall bumper cover.
