Operating and safety instructions
SAFETY ADVICE
The bag sealer must be connected only to a properly wired 230-240 V socket installed in
accordance with the relevant regulations.
Never pull the plug out of the socket using the mains cable.
The bag sealer must always disconnected from the mains for cleaning or if it develops a fault.
The bag sealer is fully insulated. Despite this you must never touch the sealer with moist hands.
Do not immerse the bag sealer in any kind of liquid.
Do not leave the bag sealer unattended if it is switched on. Never place or set the bag sealer down
close to sources of heat. Always protect the mains cable from damage. Never wind the mains
cable around the bag sealer. Always use the cable tidy. If the device is no longer being used pull
the plug out of the mains socket immediately.
Always ensure that the bag sealer is kept out of the reach of children.
If you see that the bag sealer has become damaged in any way, do not use it any more. Have the
bag sealer checked at an authorised customer service centre.
If the mains cable becomes damaged it must be replaced with a special cable. This can be
obtained from our customer service centre.
If the bag sealer is dropped it should be checked by a suitably qualified person before it is used
again. Even damage that cannot be seen can shorten the useful life of the bag sealer.
Never attempt to open the device or insert any metallic objects. If you experience problems with
the device, to avoid any risks please contact our authorised
customer service centre.
This device is intended for private and domestic use only and not intended for commercial use. We
do not accept any liability for damage caused by improper use or use of the device for purposes
not described here.
Always keep the operating instructions close at hand.
Never use the bag sealer for any other purpose than for sealing up foodstuff.
Observe the maximum operating cycles laid down for this device. After a sealing process lasting
11 seconds the bag sealer must be allowed to cool for at least 80 seconds (on/off-ratio 11/80 sec,
for information see rating plate).
Never touch the sealing wire directly after sealing as it can become very hot during the sealing
process.
Always use special plastic film suitable for use in bag sealers (commercial quality).

Forming the bag
a) Unwind the cable from the cable tidy and insert the plug into the properly wired mains socket
installed in accordance with the relevant regulations.
b) Open cover
and take the film roll out of the compartment. Unroll the film enough to ensure
that that the place where the first seal is to be made is positioned over the sealing and cutting
wires + . Place the roll back into its compartment. The double-layered plastic film is supplied
closed on the left side. This forms the underside of the bag.
c) Close the cover and press it down firmly using both hands. Make sure that you press down evenly.
To get the best results make sure that the silicone lip
is aligned precisely with the sealing and
cutting wires.
The two indicator lights and light up to show that the sealing and cutting process has begun.
The process ends as soon as the red indicator light for sealing goes out.
WARNING: The vacuum pump may run on for a short while whilst you are pressing the cover
down. This is normal and does not mean that the device is faulty.
d) Open the cover and pull the plastic film out far enough to create the desired width of bag
(max. 29 cm). Place the film on to the sealing and cutting wires.
e) Now close the cover again and proceed as described in c) above.
As soon as the red indicator light
goes out, the bag can be carefully removed from the device.
Filling the bag
The bag can now be filled. Do not fill the bag any higher than 6 cm below the top edge. Make
sure that no foodstuff or liquid contaminates the area where the final seal will be made. This can
have a detrimental effect on the quality of the seal. If you use the bag for liquids, fill it to no more
than 3/4 of its volume.
Stamping the date
a) The device has a date stamp facility. The controls for the date stamp are on the front at the left.
The controls consist of 6 small wheels, which allow you to set the numerical digits. The pairs of
numbers indicate the day, month and year.
b) Turn the small wheels until the numbers you want appear. Set up the foil roll so that the white
stripe to be stamped is on the left side of the device. Then the date will be stamped on the stripe
during the sealing process.
Sucking out the air and final seal
a) Pull the bag opening carefully over the vacuum nozzle . Ensure that the nozzle penetrates
approx. 2 cm into the inside of the bag.
b) Smooth out the bag at the position where the final seal is to be made.
c) Close the cover and press it down lightly on the left side.
The green indicator light
lights up and the air is sucked out of the bag.
d) After enough air has been sucked out, seal the bag by pressing down on the right side of the
cover whilst still pressing down on the left. The red indicator light
lights up to show that
the sealing and cutting process is operating.
The sealing and cutting process is complete when the red indicator light goes out. Open the cover
and carefully remove the bag and any bits of foil from the device.

Cleaning
Before cleaning always disconnect the bag sealer from the mains and ensure that it has cooled.
Use a slightly moist cloth for cleaning the outsides of the bag sealer. Never use scouring agents or
alcohol for cleaning.
If any of the film remains attached to the cutting wire
repeat the sealing process again, this time
without a film in position. The residual foil can then be quite easily removed.
CAUTION: Be careful not to touch the hot cutting wire as you are doing this.
