Dome Installation Using Drop Ceiling Adapter Plate
The Drop Ceiling adapter is designed to facilitate quick and easy installation of the 5” dome
assembly to a drop ceiling. Using the adapter, there is no need to make holes in the ceiling panel
for mounting screws (one small notch on the side of the panel is all that is required ).
INSTALLATION
Step 1.
Press the adapter plate up against the drop ceiling frame, with the two spring clips on the upper
side, and rotate the plate counter-clockwise, so that the spring clips grip the sides of the frame.

Step 2.
Raise the edge of the ceiling panel, and make a small notch in the edge of the panel in line with
the hole in the center of the adapter plate.
Step 3.
Thread the cables from the dome assembly through the hole in the center of the adapter plate
and through the notch in the ceiling panel.
Attach the dome to the adapter plate by aligning the mounting slots in the dome base with the
two small “T” tabs on the adapter plate. Rotate the dome counter-clockwise so that the tabs are
locked in place ( see figs 3 and 4)
For Clarity, only the base of the dome is shown in the illustrations.
