decreasingbyapproximatelyoneBPMforeachyear.Thereisnoindicationthattraininginfluencesthedecreaseinmaximumheartrate.Individualsofthesameagecould
havedifferentmaximumheartrates.Itismoreaccuratetofindthisvaluebygettingastresstestthanbyusinganagerelatedformula.
Youratrestheartrateisinfluencedbyendurancetraining.Thetypicaladulthasanatrestheartrateofapproximately72BPM,whereashighlytrainedrunnersmay
havereadingsof40BPMorlower.
TheHeartRatetableisanestimateofwhatHeartRateZone(HRZ)iseffectivetoburnfatandbetteryourcardiovascularsystem.Physicalconditionsvary,therefore
yourindividualHRZcouldbeseveralbeatshigherorlowerthanwhatisshown.
Themostefficientproceduretoburnfatduringexerciseistostartataslowpaceandgraduallyincreaseyourintensityuntilyourheartratereachesbetween6085%
ofyourmaximumheartrate.Continueatthatpace,keepingyourheartrateinthattargetzoneforover20minutes.Thelongeryoumaintainyourtargetheartrate,the
morefatyourbodywillburn.
