SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT
Disposal of packaging materials
•
The packaging material is 100% recyclable and it
is marked with the recycle symbol .
•
Packing materials should therefore not be
thrown away with household rubbish but
disposed of as directed by local authorities.
Disposal of old appliances
•
The appliances are built from recyclable or
reusable materials. Disposal must be carried out
in accordance with local environmental
regulations for waste disposal. Before scrapping,
make the appliances unusable by cutting off the
power cable.
Energy saving
•
Only pre-heat the oven if specified in the
cooking table of the Product Description Sheet
or in your recipe.
•
Use dark, black enamelled baking moulds as they
absorb heat very well.
•
If you intend to bake a number of cakes or other
items, it is advisable to cook them one after
another so as to make best use of the residual
heat in the oven and cut down on cooking time.
Two cakes can be cooked simultaneously by
placing two rectangular baking trays in the oven
side by side.
•
When cooking times are long, switch off the
oven 10 minutes before the end of the cooking
time and finish cooking using the residual heat.
IMPORTANT NOTES
•
This oven is designed solely for use as a
domestic appliance to cook, roast, defrost,
sterilise, dry and grill food. Any other use is
forbidden. The manufacturer assumes no
responsibility for damage caused by improper or
incorrect use.
•
Do not expose the oven to atmospheric agents.
•
Do not rest heavy weights on the door because
these could damage the oven cavity and the
hinges. Maximum weight: 7 kg (15 lbs.).
•
The oven must be repaired or adjusted
exclusively by a qualified technician.
• Do not cover the bottom of the oven with
aluminium foil
.
•
Never hang any weight on the handle of the
oven door.
•
The oven door must close properly. The door
seals must be kept clean.
•
Do not pour water directly into the inside of a
hot oven. The enamel coating could be
damaged.
•
Fruit juice dripping from the baking tray leaves
permanent stains. To cook cakes that contain
fruit with a lot of juice, use the drip tray.
•
Do not drag pots and pans across the bottom of
the oven - risk of scratches.
•
Cover foods that are to be left in the oven; with
time, the humidity can damage the oven walls
and the food dries out.
•
If you wish to keep food warm at the end of
cooking, or use the residual heat in the oven, set
lower temperatures. Do not switch off the oven
as the internal humidity will rise and condense
on the control panel. Furthermore, it will cause
drops to form under the worktop and the kitchen
furniture to absorb moisture. Over time,
condensation can damage adjacent furniture and
the worktop, as well as the inside of the oven.
•
The front panel and the handle of the oven door
warm up when the appliance is switched on for
a long time at high temperatures.
