SDB 1800 F4 US-EN 11
Automatic shut-off
This steam iron is equipped with an automatic shut-off system.
This stops the iron from heating up.
If the iron is resting on the sole of the iron - and is not moved for
about 30 seconds, you will hear a warning beep and the control
light for the automatic shut-off will flash. The iron will stop heating
up. To deactivate the automatic shut-off, lift up the iron and move
it gently from side to side. The control light for the automatic
shut-off turns off and the iron heats up again.

3) Using the measuring beaker !, fill the water reservoir with
water to the "MAX" marking, but no further.
4) Close the cover of the filler opening for the water reservoir .
If the water in your location is rated as hard, we recommend that
you mix the tap water with some distilled water. Otherwise, the
jets for the steam blast function could calcify (become blocked
with limescale) prematurely.
To enhance optimal steam blast function, mix tap water with
distilled water according to the following table:
Water hardness Ratio of distilled water
to tap water
very soft/soft -
medium 1:1
hard 2:1
very hard 3:1
The water hardness level can be queried at your local water
works.
