QuickTips
1) The CHANNEL (L/M) and
V
OLUME (-/+) keys become
C
URSOR keys when the MENU
key is pressed. This
operating state remains
active for 10 seconds after
pressing the M
ENU key or
either of the C
HANNEL or
V
OLUME keys. After 10
seconds, these keys will
revert to normal channel and
volume operation.
2) Some equipment manu-
facturers use the C
HANNEL and
V
OLUME keys instead of
C
URSOR keys to navigate
through their menu sys-tems.
If after pressing the M
ENU
key the CHANNEL and VOLUME
keys do not move the cursor,
wait 10 seconds then try
them again. If the menu
leaves the screen, press the
M
ENU key again, then wait 10
seconds before pressing the
C
HANNEL and VOLUME keys.
3) Operations in the chart that
are marked with an asterisk
(*) work when the menu is
displayed (after pressing the
M
ENU key).
4) The AUX mode can be
programmed to operate a
VCR, TV, DVD, Cable Box,
or Satellite Receiver, but
only one device at a time.
5) Many of the keys on this
remote control are multi-
functional. Please refer to
the chart for a generic
description of the keys and
their functions. Refer to
your original operating
manuals for specific feature
operation.

Step 1. Find your VCR, TV, DVD,
Cable Box, and Satellite
Receiver brand codes in the
charts on pages 4 ~ 7.
Step 2. Press and hold the VCR, TV,
CABLE, DVD, SAT (Satellite),
or AUX (Auxiliary) mode key
while entering a three-digit
code number. Then release
the mode key.
If the code was accepted, the mode
key will flash 5 times after it is
released. If you entered an invalid
code, the mode key will not flash.
Check the code number and repeat
Step 2.
The VCR, TV, Cable Box, DVD, and
Satellite modes will accept only
each mode’s specific code type.
The AUX mode will accept all code
types, but only one code at a time.
Perform Steps 1 and 2 for each piece
of equipment you have. After
entering each code number check the
unit’s operation by pressing the
Power and/or Channel keys. If these
keys operate your equipment, you
have probably entered the correct
code number for that device. If not,
follow Steps 1 and 2 and enter
another code, if available.
After you have programmed the
remote control and confirmed its
operation, enter your codes in the
spaces provided below for easy
reference.

OPERATING TIPS AND TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
To operate each device (VCR, TV, Cable Box, DVD Player, or Satellite
Receiver), you must first program the remote control; then press the
proper mode key (VCR, TV, CABLE, DVD, SAT, or AUX) to select an
operating mode. The VCR, TV, and DVD modes are preprogrammed with
Sanyo codes.
Some manufacturers use many different codes. If your brand of equipment
has several codes listed, try programming your remote with the different
available codes until you locate the correct one for your device.
There may be VCRs, TVs, DVDs, Cable Converter Boxes, and Satellite
Receivers that this remote control cannot operate. Some models may
operate only partially.
Codes will remain in memory for five minutes as you replace batteries.
Remove batteries from the remote control if it will not be used for a
month or more. Weak batteries may leak and damage the remote control.
This remote control uses an invisible (infrared) beam of light to operate
the equipment. Objects between the equipment and the remote control
can block the beam of light. Therefore, the remote control must be
pointed directly at the equipment you want to operate.
This remote control cannot add keys or features to your equipment. Your
equipment’s manufacturer must have originally provided them.
When switching from the VCR or DVD mode, the VCR/DVD specific
control keys will continue to operate the last device (mode) selected. For
example, when switching from DVD to TV mode, the VCR/DVD control
keys will continue to function as DVD keys.
If the remote control fails to operate any of your equipment replace the
batteries. Be sure batteries are installed correctly.
