Overview

The SR-SHELF-MDEXTR is constructed with the same rigid materials as the Strong™ SR Series racks and

provides quick and easy installation of small chassis media extenders.

NOTE: SR Series Racks are to be built separately following the SR-SKEL installation manual.

(10) Zip Ties

Installing the Shelf

1. Remove the SR-SHELF-MDEXTR from the carton and unfold

2. Insert the mounting tabs of the media

extenders into the slots in the shelf in the

desired configuration. Note the orientation

of the extenders in relation to the tab slots.

3. Insert one end of the zip tie into the smaller

slots from the bottom of the shelf, through

the extenders mounting tab, and tighten.

Repeat for each extender on the shelf.

Run Zip Tie over the Extender

and tighten

4. Mount the SR-SHELF-MDEXTR in the rack in the desired location. Leave a 1U space below the shelf for

easy servicing of the extenders.

5. Route wires to the extenders through the wire management openings on the side panels of the shelf.

6. Use the optional SR-LACEBAR-H mounted in front of the extenders to complete the wire management.
