Montigo RFKFID is an optional fan kit that can be installed with Montigo 30FID-L/S and 34FID-L/S fireplaces. This kit includes a left high output fan, a right high output fan, mounting screws, cable ties, a 34FID flue plate gasket, and a 30FID flue plate gasket. The fans are designed to provide many years of trouble-free service and can be tested with the gas supply turned off or disconnected. To test the blower operation, reconnect the electrical supply temporarily and be sure to disconnect it after testing.

This kit should be installed by a qualied person.
Check local codes and read all instructions prior to
installation.
Ensure that all power to the appliance is off at the electrical breaker or fuse
before beginning installation. Ensure gas is turned off at the shutoff valve before
beginning installation.

performed by a qualied electrical contractor.

tion are included in your package.

The Optional Fans or Blowers supplied with your fan kit
are the best quality available and should provide many
years of trouble free service. There are two blowers for
this appliance, one motor on the right side and the other
on the left side.
** If the replace is installed, the Gas Supply may need
to be disconnected from the appliance. If this is the case,
a licensed gas tter will need to provide this service. **

Installation
Removing the Back Panel of the Fireplace
1). If the replace is already installed, please refer to fan
replacement section in your replace installation and
maintenance manual.
2). Unpack fan kit. The gaskets supplied with the kit are
only for fan replacement. Discard if not needed. Both the
RFKFID and RFKFIDECO Install the same way. Installa-
tion images show high output fans.
3). Remove all screws necessary to remove the Outer
Shell Back.
4). If installing the fans into a 30FID, remove the six
screws highlighted in Figure 4 and skip Step 5. If install-
ing the fans into a 34FID, proceed to Step 5.

5). Remove the four screws highlighted in Figure 5.

6). Install fans into the back of the replace.
7). Secure each fan using 3 screws (for 30FID) and 2
screws (for 34FID).
8). Connect the Fan Wire Harness at the back of the
appliance.
9). Connect the Fan Wire Harness underneath the
valve.

11). If desired, it is possible to test the Blower operation
with the Gas Supply turned off or disconnected. To test
the Blower operation, re-connect the electrical supply
temporarily. Be sure to disconnect the Electrical Supply
after testing the Blowers.

12). Re-install the Outer Shell Rear panel.
13). Refer to replace manual for replace installation.
10). Secure the Wire Harness with the cable ties as
shown in gure 10 and 11.
