SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Plug the machine into a standard voltage outlet (240V~50Hz) according to the data on the name
plate.
2. Before starting operation, grease the guidance axis (16), chisel bushing (38) and toothed shaft
(15) properly.
3. When mortising or drilling, do not press down the lever too hard so as to avoid any damage to
the motor and cutting tools.
4. If the timber is too long, support the timber with extra stands outside the machine to avoid acci-
dents or damage to the machine.
5. Sharpen chisels and drill bits on time to always keep them sharp.
6. After you have finished working, turn the switch off and disconnect the machine from power
supply. Also remove the chisel or drill bit.
ASSEMBLY
1. Open the box and take out the main body and all other parts.
2. Assemble the main body suitably on the holder with 2xM10 bolts, nuts and washers.
3. Put the lever (24) in the hole of the gear shaft (20) and tighten with a screw (19).
4. Take the motor (29) from the motor box. Fix the chuck (34) onto the motor spindle.
5. Clean the grease from the base (3), toothed shaft (15), guidance axis (16) and other parts with a
gauze dipped in gasoline or kerosene.
6. Assemble the motor (29) with chuck on the mobile motor unit (23) and tighten with a M6x15
screw.
7. Fix the wooden base plate (6) on the base (3) with a screw (7). Fix the bracket (4) on the base
(3) with a screw (5).
8. Fix the guide holder (11) and guide plate (9) to the guiding groove on the bracket (4) with the
lock knob (12) and washer (10).
9. Fix the clamp (8) on the guiding holder (11) with another lock knob (12) and washer (10).
10. Before plugging in the machine, make sure the power supply used corresponds to the rated volt-
age on the name plate (35).
11. Turn on the switch (31). Look at the top of the motor; it must run clockwise. If not, please con-
tact your dealer or the importer.
USAGE
Mortising
1. Put the chisel in the chisel bushing (38) closely. Rotate the chisel to make the chisel groove on
the left or right side, then tighten it with a screw (37).
2. Assemble the bit. Take off the left or right guard cover (39). Fix a suitable bit on the chuck (34)
through the chisel hole. Drill bit must be 2-5 mm lower than the chisel bit. Then tighten the drill
bit with a chuck spanner. Make sure to tighten the bit and put back the guard cover (39). (Figure
1)
3. Adjust the height of the spacing sleeve. Loosen the fix-position-knob (17), press down the lever
(24) and make the mobile motor unit move down. When the chisel bit reaches the depth of the
chisel slot, raise the spacing sleeve (18) to connect with the mobile motor unit (23) and then
tighten the fix-position-knob (17). Loosen the lever (24) and make the mobile motor unit move
back to the original position. When drilling through the chisel slot, a piece of wood plate of
about 10 mm thickness should be fitted under the timber so as to avoid any damage to the
wooden base plate (6). At this time, adjust the height of the spacing sleeve (18) according to the
thickness of the wood plate.
