The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and
for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not t for com-
mercial use.
Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat,
direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and
sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If
the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance
and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug
itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and
remove the attached accessories.
Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you
leave the room you should always turn the device off.
Remove the plug from the socket.
The device and the mains lead have to be checked regu-
larly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device
must not be used.
Use only original spare parts.
In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all
packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of
their reach.
WARNING!
Do not allow small children to play with the foil as there is
a danger of suffocation!

Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the
appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the
warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal
packing. If you give this device to other people, please also
pass on the operating instructions.
Special Safety Precautions for this Device
WARNING: Hot surface!
Danger of burns!
During operation the temperature of accessible surfaces can be very
high.
Therefore, only touch the appliance on the recessed grips and the
temperature control.
CAUTION: Fire hazard!
Oil and fat can burn when overheated. Keep sufcient safe distance
(30 cm) to inammable objects such as furniture, curtains, etc.
CAUTION:
This appliance must not be immersed in water for cleaning.
Please refer to the instructions provided in the chapter, “Cleaning”.

Place the appliance on a level, water and heat-resistant surface.
The surface should be easy to clean as spattering is unavoidable. If
resting on a sensitive surface, place a heat-resistant plate beneath
it.
Due to rising heat and vapors do not place the appliance under wall
cupboards.
Do not move the appliance during operation.
Ensure that the mains cord does not touch hot parts of the appli-
ance during operation.
Do not touch hot parts of the appliance.
Do not operate the appliance with an external timer or separate
remote control system.
Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an
authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always
have faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our cus-
tomer service or by qualied person and with a cable of the same
type.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capa-
bilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children un-
less they are older 8 years and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than
8 years.

Intended Use
This appliance serves for heating, grilling and browning of food.
It is intended for the use in private households and similar ap-
plications. The appliance is only to be used as described in the
user manual. Do not use the appliance for any other purpose.
Any other use is not intended and can result in damages or
personal injuries.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for damages caused by
improper use.
Scope of delivery
1 Grilling appliance
1 Grill plate
8 Small pans
8 Wooden spatulas
Unpacking the appliance
Remove the appliance from its packaging.
Remove all packaging materials such as lms, ller mate-
rial, cable clips and carton.
Check the contents for completeness.
Check the appliance for possible transport damage to
prevent hazards.
In case of incomplete delivery or damage, do not operate
the device. Return it to your dealer immediately.
NOTE:
Production residue or dust may have collected on the appli-
ance. We recommend cleaning the appliance according to
chapter “Cleaning”.
Instructions
CAUTION: Avoid damage to the non-stick coated grill
surfaces!
Only use wooden or Teon spatula.
Do not use pointed objects (e.g. knife, fork) on the grill
surface.
Do not use plastic utensils. They can melt.
The non-stick coated grill surfaces enable dishes to be
prepared without the use of fat.
If you want to use oil ensure that it is highly heatable, such
as sunower oil. Do not use olive oil or butter, since they
start smoking already at low temperatures.
Assembly
Place the grill plate onto the appliance so that it is held
rmly in place.
Place the small pans underneath.
Electrical connection
Please ensure that the temperature control is set to position
O”.
Before you plug the power plug into the power outlet,
ensure that the mains voltage corresponds with that of the
appliance. You can nd information about this on the rating
plate.
Only connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed
socket.
Switching On/ Off
The temperature control is used to switch the appliance on and
off. The light on the control shows you the operation.
Temperature control
Adjust the temperature control depending on the intended
purpose:
The MAX setting for grilling or roasting;
a small or medium setting for keeping warm or cooking.
Before initial use
1. Slightly grease the small pans and the grill plate.
2. Put all the parts into the appliance.
3. Operate the appliance without food for about 10 minutes
for the protective layers to be removed. To do so, set the
temperature control to the position MAX.
NOTE:
This process normally produces a small amount of
smoke. Ensure adequate ventilation.
4. Set the temperature control to position “O”. Disconnect the
mains plug from the wall socket.
5. Let the appliance cool down completely.
6. Clean all the parts that will come into contact with food
again.
Your appliance is now ready to use.
Tips for the Raclette Evening
Cut all ingredients into small pieces or slices.
Let the appliance preheat for about 10 minutes.
Place food of your choice onto the grill plate.
You may use the small pans to bake mushrooms or small
open sandwiches topped with cheese.
Do not overll the small pans.
Ensure that the ingredients don’t get into contact with the
heating element.
From time to time, remove larger food residues from the
grill plate, and the small pans, so that these won’t burn.
End Of Operation
1. Set the temperature control to position “O”. The light on the
control will go out.
2. Allow the appliance to cool before you clean it.

Cleaning
WARNING:
Disconnect from mains power supply before cleaning.
Do not submerge the appliance in water! This may lead
to electric shock or re.
Ensure that no liquid gets inside the appliance!
CAUTION:
Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for
cleaning.
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
Grill plate and small pan
1. While still warm, remove food residues with a moist towel
or a paper towel.
2. Clean these parts by hand in a rinsing bath. You may
loosen stronger contaminations with a nylon brush.
Casing
Clean the casing after use with a slightly damp cloth.
Storage
Only store the appliance clean and after it has cooled
down.
During longer periods of non-use we recommend storing
the appliance in its original packaging.
Always store the appliance in a well-ventilated and dry
place out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting
The appliance does not work
Possible cause:
The appliance is not connected to mains power.
Remedy:
Check the wall outlet with a different appliance.
Insert the plug properly in the wall outlet.
Check the fuse.
Possible cause:
The appliance is defective.
Remedy:
Contact our service or a repair center.
