FT5000 X-SCALE FAN A SSEMBLY ADAPTER CABLE
INTRODUCTION
The following illustrations show the adapter cable (P/N 09120-00721) included in FT5000 upgrade kit (P/N 06200-
00101) for customers field upgrading an FT unit from a dip reader to motorized card reader.
UNITS A FFECTED
FT5000 units built with serial numbers Before LFT120653262760 require this cable if upgrading the card reader to
a motorized and have a Rear Service Panel (RSP) installed.
PURPOSE
After completing the motorized card reader upgrade, they will have too many devices to plug into the units power
supply. They will need this adapter cable (09120-00721) to connect to the fan and use the 5x2 outlet on the power
supply normally reserved for TDM dispensing mechanisms.This will free-up a 4x2 outlet for the motorized card reader.

How to Determine Unit Builds
To determine when your unit was built, the serial number (located on the
affixed label inside the control panel) has a “julian” date located in the block
of numbers. For example, in the serial number mentioned above,
LFT120653262760, the “5326” is the year (2005) and julian day (326th day of
the year) that the unit was built.
