1.2 Environmental Conditions
Due to changed airflow resistance when filter is installed, there are changes in the ambient operating
conditions for the projector. See table below.

1.3 Assembly and installation
Installation procedure
1. Press the captive screws (505–0276) in the corresponding holes in the filter frame, as indicated in the
illustration below. Ensure that they snap into position.

2. Apply the filter frame over the projector’s side cover. Ensure that the captive screws in the filter frame align
with the holes in the projector side cover, as shown in the illustration.

3. Ensure that the stud on the filter frame engages the micro switch in the front of the side cover.
4. Hold the filter frame in position, and enter the screws in each corner in the corresponding threads in the side
cover. Tighten the screws in a cross pattern. Enter and tighten the two last screws
5. Apply the pollution filter unit in to the filter frame, and ensure that the locking tabs “click” in position and that
the filter unit is in locked position.

1.4 Cleaning the filter
Remove the filter module (See “Removing the filter module”, page 8), and carefully clean it in a water and
NaCO3 mixture.
Reassemble the filter module after drying.
