FACTS ABOUT DLS RC1 TWEETER
THE KIT CONTAINS:
q 2 pcs 1,25" (3cm) tweeters
q 2 pcs 12 dB high-pass cable filters with selectable level
q Mounting cups for surface mounting
MOUNTING:
RC1 can be surface mounted with the included cups or recessed
in a door-side or similar.
Direct the left front tweeter towards the passenger seat, and the
right front tweeter towards the drivers seat in the car and you
obtain the best sound image.
REMOVAL OF THE GRILLE:
Before installation you must remove the grille from the speaker by
bending carefully with a small screwdriver in the gap between the
speaker and the grille. Two different grille types are included in the
kit.
FLUSH MOUNTING:
This requires a 45 mm dia. hole. Removed the grille, then fasten
the tweeter element with two small screws with the clips on the
rear of the door. Then put the grille back on it´s place.
Together with the two cups in the kit you can surface mount the
RC1. Two of the holes in the cup are used for attaching the cup
with screws, or use double-adhesive tape. Use the third hole for
the cable.

Either you use the cable filter coming with the kit or the filter
boxes in the REFERENCE series, always fasten them properly
so they don´t move around in the door when you drive. And don´t
forget to fasten all the cables as well.

FILTER CONNECTION
Depending on the type of installation the RC 1 can be used with
different filters, look at the examples below.
CONNECTION WITH THE CABLE FILTER:
To be used for installation with the R4, R5, R6 and R8 when the
tweeter is installed away from the bass/mid speaker.
THE TWEETER INSTALLED AWAY FROM THE BASS:
CONNECTION WITH THE REFERENCE SERIES
FILTERBOX:
To be used with the R4, R5, R6 and R8 when the tweeter is
installed close to the bass/mid element.

select:
The filters coming with this tweeter should be connected in
series with respective speaker element as on the drawing.
Select tweeter level by connecting the red cable to either the
red or yellow cable coming out from the filter box. If the tweeter
is directed towards the listener, low level is to be prefered.
Otherwise make your own tests for best result.
Sometimes the midrange can be improved by phase reversing
the tweeter. Try it and make your own judgement.
NOTE! The filters must be used. If the tweeters are
connected without filters they may be damaged and
the sound reproduction will be bad.

FAKTA OM DLS RC1 TWEETER
Inkoppling och val av diskantnivå:
De medföljande kabelfiltren ansluts i serie till respektive
diskanthögtalare enligt skissen. På filtret kan nivån till dis-
kanten justeras i två steg, high eller low genom att koppla
den röda kabeln till den röda eller gula kabeln som kommer
från filtret. Är diskanten riktad rakt mot lyssnaren bör låg
nivå väljas. Välj annars det som du tycker låter bäst.
Ibland kan mellanregisteråtergivningen förbättras genom att
fasvända diskanten, d.v.s. växla + och -. Prova själv för att
se vad du tycker låter bäst.
OBS! De bipackade filtren måste användas.
Kopplas diskanten in utan filter kan den gå
sönder, dessutom blir ljudet dåligt.

MONTERING:
RC1 kan antingen monteras utanpåliggande med bifogad vinklad
kåpa eller infällt i ex.vis en dörrsida.
Den bästa ljudbilden uppnås om vänster diskant riktas mot
främre passagerarplats i bilen och höger diskant mot förarplatsen
i bilen. Om möjligt riktas högtalarna snett uppåt.
TAG BORT GALLRET SÅ HÄR:
För att fästa diskantelementet i sin kåpa eller infällt måste gallret
tas loss. Sätt försiktigt en liten skruvmejsel i skarven mellan
högtalare och galler och bänd försiktigt loss gallret. Två galler
medföljer, välj det du tycker är snyggast i din installation.
INFÄLLT MONTAGE:
Gör ett runt hål med diameter 45 mm där du skall montera
högtalaren. Tag loss högtalargallret och fäst högtalaren med
bifogade skruv och clips i de två fästhålen på sidorna. Tryck åter
fast gallret.
Med bifogade kåpor kan RC1 monteras utanpåliggande. Använd
två av hålen i kåpan för att skruva fast den i underlaget (eller
dubbelhäftande tejp) och dra ut kabeln genom det tredje hålet.
YTTRE MONTERING:
MONTERING AV FILTER:
Oavsett om du använderbifogat kabelfilter eller filterboxarna i
REFERENCE series så se till at filtren är ordentligt fastsatta så
de inte ligger och skramlar i ex.vis dörrsidan. Fäst även upp
kablarna så de ligger fast.

INKOPPLING MED BIFOGAT KABELFILTER:
Används vid komplettering till annat system och till R4, R5, R6
och R8 när diskanten monteras långt isär från baselementet.
MONTERING AV DISKANTEN LÅNGT ISÄR FRÅN BASEN:

Denna koppling används till R4, R5, R6 och R8 vid montering av
diskanten nära baselementet. Använd ej kabelfiltret.
